GOOD.
Keep up Gromit - a thread already ongoing.
Let's hope this is the Start of the end of Boris
21 rebelled it seems.
Anyone who was wavering was probably finally pushed over the edge by Rees-Mogg’s Speech.
What an odious man.
keep it open if you want Grom-grom
we used to have as many 5 brexit threads a day all saying the same things by the same people
the mogg went to my school
we often bow blush and turn away to say it

[ and say holy mary mudder of god what have you done? )

what did he say?
I missed Rees-Mogg's speech, I only saw him slumped over the front benches, listening with bored contempt on his face to other MPs.
22.22 Ich did you think he was P****d ?. I Did
So far no Tory Rebels have had the whip withdrawn.

So much for that threat, then.
He used to lounge like that when he was a backbencher. It looks disrespectful when he's on the Front Bench.
it's been about 15 minutes jim, gawd help us!
It’s not been a great day for Boris. Europe must be very amused by the present government. Don’t forget , Brexit means Brexit .
I wonder if any Tories abstained?
From what Andrea Leadsom was saying, they will wait until after the vote to-morrow before withdrawing the whip.
Sorry, TTT, I should say that the message came from Andrea Leadsom, so I think it's fairly official. Urged her colleagues to reconsider. There will be a further vote on this tomorrow, the actual bill this time, so maybe that would be the last straw. But it's not exactly a good omen for Johnson's ability to carry out his threats.
Corbyloon, re abstentions: no Tories abstained.
BBC now saying all twenty-one will lose the whip now.
Interesting and sad. Tonight we have further evidence of a parliament that shows disdain for the people even to the extent of trying to overrule a government trying, despite parliament's antics, to fulfill the referendum result. Difficult to see how anyone can have any faith in the present system, or indeed MPs in general, in future. We'll have to see if they inflict more damage on the nation tomorrow.
Hmm, scratch my post about Andrea Leadsom's suggestion that Tory MPs would have a second chance. She *did* say that but it may turn out to have been her mistake, and then mine too for being too quick to believe it rather than allow some time to pass.
