Beaconsfield fwiw voted Remain in 2016. I don’t see where that’s mentioned.
The civil war begins.
Couldn't happen to a nicer chap.
Why are all constituencies, where their MP is not supporting the result of the referendum, not doing the same ?
Hope this hPp no with all constituents whose MP s voted against their referendum results. Evette Cooper's constituency voted 70% Leave.
People will have the MPs they're ordered to have. It's the new democracy.
If it results in having an MP who obeys the will of the people, maybe it's not such a bad thing as I thought. It'd be the MP you were looking for anyway.
For the same reason I'd like to see our bloke deselected too. I'll vote for someone who believes in democracy so I won't be putting a kiss by his name again.
Is an MP not supposed to represent all of their constituents and not just the warm beer and Spitfires brigades? :-)
It was a national vote, Douglas, not a local one.
In constituency matters they are supposed to represent their constituents' view. In nationwide matters, voted on nationwide, they are obliged to uphold the nation's view.

It isn't about his personal views (he has by the way, many private financial interests in France tied up with vinyards) The committee accepts his views, but the way he has attempted to derail the whole democratic process they find unforgivable, and I for one agree with them.
they can't apparently

and threatening to execute a search warrant inside No 10!

'they' wanted to stop the publication of Peter wrights book and the AG heard a crown employee under oath being economical with the actualite - big sense of humour failure on that one
