Mrs May has been the political topic of the day so far, but what do we think of Jeremy Corbyn’s performance? Petulant? Irresponsible? Refusing to attend meetings appears to be becoming a bit of a habit with him. A poor recommendation for someone who aspires to loftier heights.

anneasquith, come on! Life's gloomy enough. Nothing wrong with a bit of a laugh here and there. Good old Jeremy never fails us.
As Boris Would have said , "Now is the time to throw a dead cat on the table".

Jeremy missed his chance there, gulliver. He wasn't at the table.
corbyn just wants to be pm, and to make britain like the great utopia of venezuela.

And I get the impression his fans can't wait, fender. ;o)
18.24 " nothing wrong with a bit of a laugh here and there" when you suddenly find yourself on the losing side.
I might copy that somewhere, gulliver, and repost it for you if the outcome is 'no deal' and ask how much you lost on your bet
F/F, I can assure you, my bet was NOT on a No deal.
You may want to re-read my post, gulliver.
The problem with Lenin Lite is that he and his fellow travellers are still fighting for something that evaporated decades ago.

None so blind.
So it looks like the CONS are Going to survive the Ides of March. and try to gather the Blue bells in the Merry Month of MAY.
Then you might conclude I’m not talking about you, hereIam?
Did someone forget to give him his gripe juice?

Anyway the meeting was apparently only a box ticking exercise by the PM and all the opposition leaders will only agree if there’s a People’s vote.

Leave on Mays terms or leave on WTO terms. Works for me.
Other party leaders could have expressed the same view/concerns as JC but didn't.

Other than the fact that CU defected,I wonder exactly what other differences they had.

Who knows how they really got on with each other?

Just imagine, how it must have been for all those Irish politicians trying to reach a concensus in the Belfast Agreement?

I remember reading when Gerry Adams went to the toilet during the discussions and an adversary caught up with him.The air apparently was more than blue...
Tony,my point was that in that scenario Irish negotiators had some very entrenched views and were poles apart. But,they stuck at it and knuckled down in an all inclusive situation even though privately, some of them probably despised each other.

Not many folk would have given that Agreement an earthly at the start of the process.

If you are not in the room the chances of getting anywhere are more slim and you lose respect.

That's if there was any respect there in the first place, although I'm sure somebody somewhere ...............
Tony,JC will certainly have lost more respect for his no show.

All MP's have their faults but at a time when JC could capitalise over Mrs May's own goals and Tory division,he himself has done himself no favours and has not pressed home the advantages he could have which is reflected in his own approach to Brexit, the defections and the anti-Semitism row.

Some Labour tabby on ITV News at 10 last night twittered on about the importance of cross party talks at this stage in the Brexit proceedings.
How the hell can that happen when her own leader walks out like a petulant child ?. Master jezza should go back to the days when the great unwashed sat on their asses in Trafalgar Square with the likes of Donkey Foot if he wishes to make a protest. He is not mature enough to sit around a table with the big boys and girls.
