She isn’t unpopular.

But she is disliked by some people who do not like black people, even if she just has a slight tinge.
No I believe that there are a lot of nasty jealous people out there who has an issue with her - perhaps colour does come into it - or perhaps it is the individuals on life playing a part in their comments.
Some people just hate to see others happy.
I expect colour does play a part, Islay - marrying a ginge always raises eyebrows.
Lol...according to my OH gingers will rule the world. Ginger domination :-)
The bottom line is she isn't unpopular. Quite the reverse. The title of this thread is nothing but hype.
//Why Is Meghan Markle So Unpopular//

Could be because she is not from another upper crust English family that is somehow related, however distant, hence stopping the inbreeding that has seemed to be necessary to carry on royal tradition.
jno, I know hubby said the only doubts he had about our marriage was my gingerness!!
Gingers rule the world!

I think the fact that she’s biracial is only an issue for a small minority of people.

However it’s worth examining why those to ‘the right’ have such an issue with her.

As a thought exercise, I’ve had a look at a few stories on the Independent and Guardian websites. There’s no where near the same level of vitriol aimed at her there.

Odd.
Lol Ozzy there are some here that think she is going to get preggars just to secure a large settlement!
I think her "in your face " American manner is not going down well with some, not the usual demure quiet ways of a Royal in the making..with the exception of Fergie..that didn't last either !...

Did you notice the ‘or is she?’ part right after the question?

Perhaps my question would be more accurate if I asked, ‘Why is Meghan Markle so unpopular amongst those who read right-of-centre publications’?

Now come to think of it...in the months leading up to the last royal wedding, there was certainly a bit of animosity directed to the Middletons, wasn’t there?

She was dismissed as ‘Waity Katey’ in some circles, and her family denounced as trashy social climbers.

There may be hope yet for Meghan.
You could be right Islay.
Time will tell.

Harry is a tad remote from the throne (not talking toilets here).

Let the bloke have a life, he certainly didn't get to enjoy one as a young fella due to his mother and fathers issues.
As I said some people are just plain nasty and jealous
exactly ozzy its his choice everyone should just back off - then if it goes wrong they can throw their knickers in the air and shout 'told ya so'
SP, //Did you notice the ‘or is she?’ part right after the question?//

I noticed the whole of your question – including your agenda – no matter how you try to disguise it.
I'm always amused by the comments of people who "know" her. Some give positive comments, others negative which always coincide with whether or not they've been invited to the wedding.
Knickers and bra's I hope Islay, in front of Buckingham Palace.

That would make "World News" I'm sure ;-/
I don't think it has anything whatsoever to do with race. She doesn't even look black. There's just something terribly false about her. Even her half brother says she's a fake and Harry shouldn't marry her. I give it five years and the Royals will have a huge problem on their hands

My sister’s boyfriend reaction made me smile.

On the day the engagement was announced, he simple said, “He’s punching”.
