Barnier Must Go?
I'm not normally a Sun reader but something caught my eye and I took a look, it seems not bad at all. Barnier in the photo, is alluding to the size of something, what do you think it is (polite answers only).
Also, if the Sun has the influence it is claimed it has, do you think that Corbyn is shooting himself in the foot with his new Brexit stance?

The Sun comment on Barnier does not make sense.
He should be sacked because he is on top in the negotiations ? The only way the EU would sack him would be if Davis and Co were running rings around him and getting everything the wanted. But the opposite is true, Davis is the one who should be sacked for getting us nowhere slowly.

Corbyn is more anti-EU than May or Hammond, and has got the voting record to prove it. The change in policy (to favouring a Customs Union) is largely the work of the Remainers in Labour rather than Corbyn.
Whether the change is shooting themselves in the foot, only time will tell. Public opinion on Brexit was tested two years ago. The vote was very close, and people change their minds.
I can’t help but think that May will eventually have to come round to a Customs Union deal because her Northern Ireland border policy won’t work without one, and if she can’t deliver a frictionless border, the Deal with the DUP is in tatters.

It must be remembered that Barnier was employed by the EU bigwigs to punish and destroy the EU, this is what he is doing. However it should also be noted that there is frustration from European business at is constant antagonism and failure to negotiate (Negotiation is not just not agreeing to anything) So should he go? If you are an EU bigwig then no, if you are a normal European citizen than maybe.
Has COB shoot himself in the foot? As Gromit rightly points out JC has excellent anti-EU credentials and it has always been my belief (stated on here many times) that his cross went on the Leave box. Not sure about shooting himself in the foot but selling out to the Establishment I doubt will do him much good. In addition Labour may suffer in the polls over it. Time will tell.

It seems many among the other 27 EU members are not happy with Barnier's obfuscating belligerent approach, particularly over the Irish border, which with good will is easily solvable and where he is making an unnecessary mountain out of a molehill for political reasons.
With the (non- Schengen) Republic in the EU, and the North out, some sort of border is still inevitable, but I live only an hour's drive from the non-EU Swiss border, where there is a constant police and customs presence, a few vehicles are stopped for inspection, but most traffic flows freely and the same can apply here too.
