Personally I find him about as amusing as root canal surgery with no anaesthetic, but that aside, if he is one of the most popular (and wealthy) comedians in the country, why is it beyond the powers of the people who dress him to go on stage, to put him a suit that fits him properly?
A slim-fitting tailored suit looks good on a tall slim man, on Mr Macintyre, he looks like ten pounds of potatoes in a six-pound bag.
i have admired, liked this comedian since the first time i saw him, which was some time ago now, he nearly always makes me laugh, sometimes very heartily... as to his suits, well he isn't your average slim jim as you say, but that doesn't detract from his abilities, going on the audiences reaction, to make people laugh...
I like him. I think he is very funny, just watching him makes you want to laugh just like Tommy Cooper used to do. I can honestly say Ive never noticed any thing wrong with his suits and I will not have to make a point of looking at them next time.
I don't think I've ever seen Tommy Cooper, but I like the observational ones. I remember my parents watching people like the Two Ronnies, Little and Large et al - each using the same couple of jokes week in week out.
