Not sure what's worse, getting caught drink driving or getting caught doing it in a beetle! Where's the Lambo son?

TTT....There for the grace of God go us all.
mikey.

"TTT....There for the grace of God go us all."

Eh?......us "all?".....not me.
If your drink and drive, then you are a menace on the road.
I am not going to argue with you on that point Sqad......my point was that if this hadn't been Rooney, driving a Bettle, we wouldn't be talking about it.
LOL....true....very true.
He's in a better position than many facing a driving ban - he can afford the fine and the hire of a driver for the duration.
Zero sympathy from me, the man's a fool
Well T3 you're not on your own not knowing which is worse - Wayne doesn't either.
I'm guessing he was so paralytic all sensible thoughts went out the window and that is what Mickey means.

I learnt when young this can happen so never take a car, but I wonder if this was not his car?

And if he can't afford a cab who can?
A few years ago, I was given a convertible Beetle as a courtesy car for the day, and it was great fun, although I had forgotten that there is a foot or so, front and back that you can't see when you are parking !
Peoples car, ordered by Hitler.
Must have got the tags mixed up, it was delivered to Rooney.
lol Dougie !
He was dropping off a brunette who needed a lift home, poor fella, just trying to help his poorer neighbours!
Stunning.

Just stunning.

If I were taking home anything like Rooney's salary, I would have a chauffeur.

In fact, I would probably pay for a chauffeur to follow me around, even when I was on foot.

It's common knowledge that Wayne isn't the sharpest tool in the book, but this story at least confirms he is a kind of tool.
Confirms what I have always thought ... complete and utter dick head.

I bet Coleen's delighted with him.
Some men just can't be left on their own . no respect for anyone who drinks/ drives luckily stopped by police before anyone injured/died .

I am not sure what legal punishment he will receive, but I do know that his wife will make his life hell.
I've never 'got' the whole drink driving thing: I can honestly say, hand on heart, I have never had a drink and then driven.

This may come across as pious - it's not meant to - but if I know I'm going to be having a drink, the car stays at home (it may be because my father used to drive absolutely plastered - but that may have been a generational thing. By sheer luck he was never caught).

Anyway - Rooney.

He has an undeniable talent, albeit waning, but let's face it, he's not exactly overflowing with brains, and if it were not for the fact he's a talented footballer, he'd probably just be nicking hubcaps in Liverpool.
What an idiot. Why not pay for a taxi for the woman? How was he going to get himself home after dropping her and her car off? Or was he going to stay the night with her? Poor Colleen! She must be furious.
