Has he finally gone gaga?
Question Author
Noooo sandy, he's just being Prince Phillip.
He's 95 and entitled to have a laugh.
Question Author
Exactly NJ. Made me laugh to.
He's brilliant :-)

Didn't seem to be taken too seriously

///“He was just teasing and it’s similar to what I call my husband – the wallet.”///
I don't think they are "gaffes" at all, I think he's just very funny, with a wicked sense of humour. I was watching some old footage on YouTube of Groucho on live TV game shows recently (What's my line?) and he said similar things and everyone thought him hilarious - which he was.
Bless him, he's a national treasure and so can say what he likes.

It might be nice, just once, to hear of him getting as good as he gives. Even just a quick 'far cough you clown' would do.
“Who do you sponge off?”

Yes, self ridicule is very funny at times.
He says what he feels. Good on him.
To be fair to Phil, he has an awful lot of practise over the years, in being a pillock ! He is pitch perfect now !
He came here with nowt and has been sponging off us ever since. Vile man.

Garador, not even close, so no Cigar!
Question Author
Was he not a serving Royal Navy officer during WW2.
" Vile man."

Brilliant, best laugh of the day....let me guess who you voted for at the election..
I've never particularly liked him, but he does make me smile at times :)
I know repartee is defined as what you wish you'd said, but wouldn't it have been wonderful if the lady had replied - The State and the British public, the same as you and your extended family!

I am sure His Highness would have been holding his sides!!!
Usually the funniest bit is the glare on his wife's face. You know that she will be having words with him.

I like the Queen and Zorba the Greek and Harry but that's about it.

Good for him, nice to see a person being able to speak his mind these days, and not a thing anyone can do about it.
Ah, the Bubble and Squeak spouts forth once again.
