Only I've been out shooting all day and I'm a little creamed....
And I can't stay long because I'm driving the game cart on another shoot tomorrow....

Many more ladies are taking up the sport, Tom's estate recently had a 300 bird day purchased by a team of ladies.
'Spot on, ladies......they do it for the thrill of killing and nothing more.....'

Gness I think you've been reading your RSPB propaganda again because until you've done it you really shouldn't make such generalised statements.

(Still love you tho.....)
Propaganda?.....You think I can't make up my own mind?

You think there is any way on god's earth I would do it?....Come on.....I'm better than that.

I'm right....you're wrong and that's all there is to it....
Lol

I fail to see why anyone should want to kill for pleasure.
'until you've done it' No thanks.
No.....That'll do for today, DB....that and winning the pub quiz.....but royal??...hmmm not a word I'd use.....

Hi, Daisy....takes all sorts, doesn't it......☺
It's a formalised, stylised, method of harvesting a surplus supply of protein. The fact that the birds are put there 'artificially' is no different to a farmer planting potatoes for later harvest.
All the meat you eat dies at the hand of man at some time.....
You're not understanding me, Shoota......I find it strange that anyone gets pleasure from killing.....it makes me question that person.

I don't see the potato planting farmer dribbling with a perverted excitement.
I'm just glad my husband shares the same views as me, because if he got pleasure out of killing, I think it would kill my love for him stone dead. :o/
You are assuming that pleasure is taken from killing.
That is not strictly correct. (In my case anyway)
There is satisfaction in making a good shot and there is pleasure taken from the overall experience but no one I knows just kills for pleasure.
Given the choice of two birds a sportsman will take the high, fast bird over the low, slow one everytime.
Evening, MrsC....me too.....when we went to live in Canada MrG had to entertain lots....
Many Canadians hunt.....but if we ended up entertaining a hunter they didn't get to the pudding.......

MrG started taking them out......☺
Then do as I do, Shoota.....shoot clays.
Oh and less of the sportsman....we know it's not sport.
You do not understand, nor are you making any effort to.

(But I STILL love you......)
Anyway, I'm off - up at 06:00.
Night all. x
