So,Clown Boris is to visit Beijing, where he will take a ride on the Subway. Lets hope it does not break down ,and get a repeat of his UK cable car comedy.

I remember Boris being left hanging there on the cable car. Say what you like about Boris but I'm not sure that he didn't handle the situation as well as anybody could !
The will love his blond hair.
Ta Mikey.
I like Boris.
This will probably come back to haunt me in years to come, but here goes anyway...I like Boris as well ! We need more humour in our politics today.

Boris will almost certainly end up in Number Ten at some time in the future, of that I can make a fairly confident prediction.
you might as well enjoy the comedy, hawksley, it seems to be costing you £60 million

^^That's a bit misleading. For one awful moment there I thought his trip to Beijing was costing 60 million!

I can well imagine the situation , Boris stuck in Beijing Subway,Pulled up through air vent .They would not know, if it was Boris coming up head first ,or someone pushing a mop up the vent.
Oh, they have cable cars on Beijing rapid transport huh ?
Probably will then

I would luuuurve to say they have to have cable cars in theundergrounds as they are in the southern hemishiere, and otherwise they would fall off.....or hit the ceiling of the tunnels

but Beijing is on or near the 38th parallel (N)
so there would have to be some other reason
China's in the southern hemisphere? They're getting everywhere these days

So Boris has announced he plans to create a Chinese Business District in London, which he says will create 20,000 jobs. that is all London needs, 20,000, Chinese immigrants, God Help London.
He makes me smile and there aren't that many people I can say that about. I like him too.
A Chinese business district will create 20,000 jobs = 20,000 Chinese immigrants. How do you arrive at that Hawksley ?

FredPuli43, I am by no means an expert on immigration or who to employ, In my experience of Chinese Restaurants also Shops, etc, takeaways , I have never seen a British person employed. If it is not alike where you reside , I Apologize .
We have two Chinese takeways in my village. The food is excellent. What problem are they causing hawksley ? If it wasn't for our immigrant friends, we would all still be eating in Bernie Inns, trying to decide if we want a gammon steak or a mixed grill.

A Village, with a Chinese Takeaway,4444,What has become of your local Butcher in your village,or Baker or Good old Fish and chip shop, and you live in a little sleepy village. How many Brits are employed in the two Chinese Takeaways???. Answer None.
There`s more to Chinese investment than take-aways. China is a potentially massive source of business and I don`t blame the UK for going over there and courting them. If we don`t, someone else will.
Its quite a large village hawksley, more of a suburb of the near-by town really. We have 2 Chinese takeaways, 3 Indian, and 2 chip shops ! Oh, and we have a Pizza place as well. I know, we should all learn to cook here in my village !

Apart from the chip shops, all seem to employ their relatives, which most of them are Welsh, but not Anglo-Saxon/white. In the Chinese place I frequent, all the owners 4 children have been born here and they are all trilingual....ie they speak Chinese, English, and because they attend Welsh-medium schools, Welsh as well.

Chinese restaurants employing Chinese people is far from being unusual. I have eaten Chinese food all over the world and the staff and cooks are inevitably Chinese. The best Chinese meal I ever had was in San Francisco, in the Chinatown there.

But I am still asking what is the problem with that ?
