Much has been said about the brainwashing of our children by 'nasty left' teachers, here two prime examples have been exposed.

One a member of The Socialist Workers Party is described as a special needs teacher, it would seem he is in need of some sort of 'special teaching', in the correct way to conduct himself.

The other well what can we say about her when she comes out with disgusting terms as this ‘Who wants to p*** on her grave?’

Both should be given their 'marching orders' but I doubt they will.

The eveidence is all around, how did the thousands of under 40's learn to hate MrsT. They must have been taught. Probably in those subjects that enable this to come up, history , sociology etc.

It matters what they do when it makes the front page of the dailys for organising hate parties. Even if they don;t directly bring their views into the classroom, their views will influance younsters.

Right so just to clarify, an EDL member who goes to Nazi rallies at weekends is ok to teach your kids as long as he doesn't spill it out in the classroom?

That's odd because the lefties usually call for hang, drawing and quatering of anyone who even accidentally says somthing un PC. Major policy change there!

I would say there are many things that teachers could do in their private lives, that if found out to be partaking in, would matter a great deal.

Your last argument - that of "lefties calling for sanctions for un-PC actions" is just lazy. You might get some jobsworths or overly officious functionaries, or over-zealous well meaning individuals applying the precautionary principle, but none of these is exclusively of the Left.

As a school-child doubtless I came into contact with Teachers who 'privately' held all sorts of weird beliefs......all I knew about them then, and now, was how good they were at communicating the fundamentals of their particular subject.

I rather believe it is still the same.

I've made my disdain for the "death party-goers" pretty clear, but until you go into the classroom and establish that these people are preaching their hateful views there's no case to be made to sack them. I'm far more concerned, as I hinted earlier, about what the children hear at home. There's quite a few children who clearly aren't overly fond of going to school and are far more likely to do the opposite of what their teachers do than copy their behaviour.

excluding anything illegal which is not relevant to this debate as we have already established that membership of an illegal organisation would be a factor

aog, their mental disturbance, as you describe it, consists of holding extreme leftist views. That is a) no more of a mental disturbance than, say, being a Jesuit is and no more of a mental disturbance than your views are, since they can be supported by seemingly rational thought b) of no relevance, unless you can provide evidence that they are making,or attempting to make, their views that of the children. If they are, there remains the question of whether teachers should be indoctrinating pupils with your views (or mine) instead.

I would think most under 30's who are now 'protesting' about Mrs Thatcher have gleaned their knowledge from the gutter press and sensationalism rather than their teachers. And I would hesitate a guess that many who do protest will be more interested in looting Argos than making a Political statement.
