Much has been said about the brainwashing of our children by 'nasty left' teachers, here two prime examples have been exposed.

One a member of The Socialist Workers Party is described as a special needs teacher, it would seem he is in need of some sort of 'special teaching', in the correct way to conduct himself.

The other well what can we say about her when she comes out with disgusting terms as this ‘Who wants to p*** on her grave?’

Both should be given their 'marching orders' but I doubt they will.

ok jno as I have said, I don't care if they bring it up in the classroom, that's irrelevant. Young snotty has seen teacher on the front pages and not doubt elsewhere organising hate parties. That's ok by you is it?
I'm willing to bet that if we got rid of all the teachers who had views we disagreed with, there'd be about five left. Not sure how that really helps anyone. Again, it's surely the case that what goes on at home is far more important than what teachers' views are. I know who out of my parents and my teachers influenced my views more.
so if you can't sack someone for holding a political view, why did Gove say that school headteachers could sack those teachers supporting the BNP. If you want to be seen to be fair, then surely that has to go both ways. If they don't put their views on their pupils then why sack them. All i care about is that they are good teachers, who teach children the curriculum. Any teacher caught imposing their viewpoints on children should be dismissed, be it right wing, left wing, no matter, don't politicise our schoolrooms.
I don't recall our teachers being particularly politically affiliated, but many were left overs from the war years, not overly good, nor overly bad.
If my 'young snotty' had seen his teacher on the front pages of the paper organising a hate party, he and I would have had a discussion about it; and I'd have explained why I agreed/disagreed with the teacher.

Hopefully, that would be the important part.
i wonder how many parents actively get involved in their child's schooling, parents meetings and that sort of thing.
jim I don't care what their views are, I care that as teachers I expect them to be objective when in view of the children. No one's saying they should be sacked for their views per se. I expect a higher standard of those trusted with teaching our children.
I'm not sure young snotty around here spends a whole lot of time on the Daily Mail website; if he did; I'd certainly have a word with him, explaining how it turns its readers' brains into mush.

But as for the teachers themselves, yes, they can do what they like in their own time.
really why?
crossed post, that was for Danger...
/Ever watch the Pink panther film where Clousseau is arguing with the blind beggar and his monkey about who does what in their begging enterprise ?/

No

And this is baz's evidence that he is more in touch with the 'real world' than others?

PMSL
You don't expecet a higher standard of conduct from teachers em? right oh! you carry on.
@Em No idea, but i would have thought the comfortable majority would have an active involvement in their childrens education.

Gove did not just talk about the BNP - He also talked about membership of other other extremist groups as well - Active BNP members are also banned from being prison guards or serving in the Police as well, I think.

There probably is an approved list of political parties floating around somewhere.

And I think a headteacher would have a problem banning or sacking an individual teacher over membership of a political party unless they had evidence of it, or they had used school property to post such disgusting sentiments as "immigrants are filth", which was what prompted Gove to say what he did.

/// aog, their mental disturbance, as you describe it, consists of holding extreme leftist views. ///

No it is not that, there are many on the left, and at a stretch I will even say the far-left, that would never been see to disrespect the dead ie dance on their grave, or rejoice that they are dead.

Individuals such as those that do are certainly mentally disarranged, or at the very least inhumane.
-- answer removed --
expect but don't necessarily get, you will get bad as well as good teachers, same as anywhere. Those who are useless, whatever political persuasion should be shown the door.
@AoG In your opinion "Individuals such as those that do are certainly mentally disarranged, or at the very least inhumane".

Some will have no idea about why they are participating; its a party, its sensationalist. Others will have very strong opinions about Maggie, and its a democracy. Its tasteless, but not illegal.

Calling for sacking of people for holding such views seems equally mentally deranged, or inhumane, to me....

Maggie was no shrinking violet - I think she might be quite satisfied that she had such opponents, after 26 years out of power and out of the limelight.
i confess that had my old teachers been seen screaming hatred and behaving in a way that some would say brings shame on their profession, school, they mostly likely would have been sacked. Same way that overly familiar teachers who consort, for want of a better word with their pupils are or should be. Breach of trust and all that.
/dance on their grave/

no one has done that in this case, nor are they likely to as Baroness Thatcher is being cremated

Are you hallucinating this aog?

/or rejoice that they are dead./
/Individuals such as those that do are certainly mentally disarranged, or at the very least inhumane./

that is hardly a unique or unheard of human behaviour when a much-hated or despised person dies

so the diagnosis of mental disarrangement is dubious to say the least as is the notion of being 'inhumane' - 'without compassion', 'brutal', 'cruel'

another hallucination i suspect aog

Well, aog, people of sanity have been known to "dance on the grave" of many a leader whom they hated or thought had destroyed their country. Why do you see these individuals as mentally disturbed because they think and would do alike?

And what is your answer to the earlier question? Do you have evidence that they have been seeking to get children they teach to have the same views that they hold? If so, what is it?

/// omg, are we in China?, sacking teachers for having an opinion!. ///

How many more times do you have to be told, it is just not about a couple of teachers having an opinion, it is the way they displayed their opinion for the whole world to see.
