No thank you.
No scare mongering going on here then.
This crops up every so often on here.

It was cobblers then and it’s cobblers now.
I think I would want to read a more neutral summary of the bill before making up my mind about it.
Plainly it is nonsense to suggest we are heading for fascism. which doesn't necessarily mean the bill is "ok"
What you on about Willis?
I fully support any action the Government take against the likes of Insulate Britain and Just Stop Oil- protectors have had it too good for too long and seem to think they have a right to stop the rest of us getting to work. Time for a good old clampdown- well done Suella, more power to your elbow!
It's Clause 17 of the proposed Bill and this is a link to that Bill

So you'd ban all protests - is that what you're saying, HH?
No.
JDavis, where exactly did Hazi say that?

Just take action against ones that break the law. It ain't, as someone else here would say, rocket.
With the way a lot of protests are now, something has to be done - roads blocked, sometimes with people gluing themselves down and lately not letting emergency vehicles through. In London there have been roads blocked for days disrupting peoples lives. Near here they've tunnelled under the road by an oil depot making it unsafe to drive along. Where are the water cannons?
Nonsense. The so-called eco warriors who are creating havoc deserve all they get. No sympathy from me.
What absolute garbage.

HH, looking at this and other recent threads it looks like you have a stalker ;-)
Perlease! what a wally you are canary!
what is the difference
only that the middle class have woken up

Banning orders for this and that have been around for yonx
Footie, slapping ones spouse, going around to that loud mouthed bat - and no one squeaked...

as for gluing yourself to a Picasso I regard as vandalism
What protests would you support then - protests against the monarchy, disrupting the rail network by industrial action?
It's not so much what protests but how people protest.

Establishing a picket line on a legal strike is quite different from blocking ambulances and members of the public trying to get to work to pay tax to fund these idiots gluing themselves to the road or pouring milk over Harrods or wherever.
ymb.

I agree about that and it's counterproductive for what many would see as a good cause. But then people have been detained for shouting at Prince Andrew or protesting about the monarchy.
\\After the shocking police behaviour towards grieving women at the Clapham vigil for Sarah Everard, we fear these ankle tags could entail serious abuse. There is no place for police monitoring and oppression of people simply campaigning for change.//

I notice they haven't mentioned the riot in Bristol where a police officer was almost burned alive in a van.

So no I won't be signing.
