According to Sky News the heat 'has turned areas of Manchester into no-go areas'. Good grief.

Bloody ridiculous, with an OTT reaction
Is it the Wetherspoons? They stink even on a mild day.
Ridiculous how the weather is taking over the news all day!
In the Greater Manchester area-----A tarmac road has melted in Stockport, a three years old boy was killed in a tractor accident, 16 years old boy drowned in Salford Quays and today a body has been pulled out of the River Irwell in Bury. These are just a handful of the accidents this week .
that sounds a fair description of a road with melting tarmac, I would have thought.
OTT hysterical reactions and scaremongering from the MSM. Covid, Monkey pox Nuclear Armageddon, heat Armageddon ....

It needs to be stopped or we will end up with the 'boy who cried wolf' problem one day.
"According to Sky News the heat 'has turned areas of Manchester into no-go areas'. " - I don't the heat is doing that.
I think I heard via the media 5/ 6 young males were drowned yesterday , very sad .
But why do they all do it when the warnings are clear - no doubt all the families will tell us what wonderful children they were and how sadly they will be missed (won't all deceased children?). They should have instilled more common sense into them, especially as they are not toddlers but teenagers.
No
it was 30'C in the city most of the day
hence my early rising

but not no-go - nichty nochty
30c?
How outrageous
23'C here now thank god
I was under the impression that a lot of towns in mid to North UK had no-go areas heat-wave or not.
well with a mayor called Burn'em what do you expect?
Andy Burnham should stand as a Labour leader DT, he talks sense
Lankeela, it doesn’t matter what parents say or instill in their teens, sadly they’ve thought,I can swim, I’ll be okay which clearly wasn’t the case
Bobbi, they say Handy-Andy is very good at fire-fighting!
Don’t know about that DT but a few years back I read a book about enforced marriages among the Pakistani community, particularly in the North West,Andy Burnham worked behind the scenes with the charity who got the girls back, even flying there himself to secure the release of one of them, I’ve liked him ever since
well, I would surmise that he'd probably be more effective than Sir Beer Warmer....
I dont know "weather" that is true - haw haw haw
Ridiculous over the top reaction to a couple of hot days. The bbc went into apolyptic climate change mode.
