I see nothing wrong in cycling 7 miles from Downing Street to the park. But that is not what he is admitting to.
Johnson, Hancock and Patel supported the on the spot fines to two women who had driven 5 miles to go for a walk.
If the PM had driven further (people suspect he drove 7 miles to the park and did not cycle them) then there is a hint of hypocrisy.

The rules say you can exercise with one other person. Eye witnesses report several in Johnson’s cycling group, thought to be his security people

Didn’t I? I didn’t a few months ago because it very clearly wasn’t. Bed occupancy (both ordinary and critical care) was quite low. I don’t recall making a similar claim recently. I don’t really know whether it’s being “overrun” at the moment because I don’t know how that’s defined. The NHS has been “at breaking point” every winter for as long as I can recall. It is never able to deal with peak demand without suggesting it is about to go under.
