Tesla discovered this problem themselves and presumably informed the authorities.
The solution is to update the onboard software. Most people should be able to do that themselves without Tesla having to take it into one of their facilities.
There seems to be an history of interference from the US car regulatory authorities. Perhaps it is dominated by petrolheads.

I think you are correct on the software bit though. Shouldnt really be much of a problem.
Probably the best mass-produced performance electric car to date, employing thousands, $billions in turnover.

Yeah - a bit of a glitch with the windows does spell "trouble"!

PS - the airbag stuff is all on cars over 20 years old - can't be many still around!
It's the rise of machines themselves.........it starts with digits.....!
If reported eye-watering inceases in the price of charging are accurate then windows will be the least of their worries.

More expensive than petrol I saw on the Sky website a couple of days ago.

The windows might be the only things that move.
