If I don't go to work, do I tick less than 15 mins????
How about an option Retired
Mine is less than 15 mins as long as I don't go in rush hour.

My OH's is often more than 2 hours.
The question offers "was", so I gave my commute time before I retired.
We put 'is/was' so that those who are retired can say how long their commute used to be.
When I worked in London, I worked with a man who commuted every day from the Isle of Wight. Nightmare journey. I also worked with someone who lived near Calais and he commuted every day to London.. Crazy or what...
My own commute from Brighton to Covent Garden was 2-3 hours each way. That's why I gave up and worked in Haywards Heath office. That was a half hour commute door to door.
Back in the bad old days my commute could be anything between 2 and 4 hours.
Then I moved to the countryside and bought a home based business.
My commute is now how long it takes me to walk outside grasping a mug of coffee.

Love it!!!!
1 or 4 depending on what part of my working life I pick. Thinking about it, there was a short time option 5 may have been correct too.
I assumed the question is about driving but I walk so I went for less than 15 minutes as it would be if I drove.
it used to be 50 minutes to work and 25 back (as it was about 2am by then) but I went for "to work". Why do traffic lights turn red when you approach even though it's 2am and there is no other traffic in any direction?
jno - I quite a patient driver until the traffic lights turn to red.
me too, ummmm. I used to wonder if someone in the council was waiting up all night to switch the lights as I approached, just to annoy me. I don't mind other traffic having their turn but when there is absolutely none at all it's really irritating.
Depends which day of the week it is. Sunday evening I have the two hour drive up across the border to Northern Ireland where I stay in my Belfast bedsit all week, a 20 minute drive from my office in Newtownabbey. Then have the bloody 2 hour drive back home to the Republic Friday evening at silly o'clock, to endure it I turn the radio in the car up to 11 and have Today FM on with their Friday Night 80s show on.
