Did you have a good education, or were you dragged up through some dull suburban 'academy' ?
I went to a major public school, and it shows because I speak properly and can spel, which plenty of people on here can't. Anyways, I am a bit fed up with answering antique questions on the History section so I thought I'd post something really interesting (i.e. this) in Chatterbank. There can't have been much more interesting than this today.
I went to a normal comprehensive school, then onto a normal college, from there onto an Art & Design College and finally onto university.
Whether someone goes to a private or public school makes no difference, its down to the indiviual I think. Just because someone goes to a private school it does not mean that they can spell better than someone at a normal school or even make them better in any other way.
and it's very vulgar to use "can't" whenever cannot is the correct word.....good lord..it's blue blooded murder of the english tongue!
ps. dragged up also.........:)
Ah ha there you are Potter Minor, still not replying to my emails I see, but I have guessed the first letter of your password and it is the letter p. I will get there and p.s. I went to public school as well. Did you go on to Oxbridge ? I did, and it turned me into the fabby person I am.
My spelling is good but my grammer could be better but that is mostly down to laziness.
My suburban 'academy' was anything but dull.
My husband attended a public school and to be hoest my spelling is better than his.
He also went to university and has more letters after his name than in it but when it comes to everyday living and common sense I do the work.
