Yep, it hasn't, nor does it tell you when the staples are running out. Same as sellotape which won't unstick itself from the roll.

It may be me though. If I stand near a photocopier, it usually has a catastrophic paper jam.

I have that effect on shredders, hopkirk - I'm on my third one at work at the moment.
please, please do not go on an oil rig, refinery/chemcial plant, or a munitions factory or their storage areas...
I was brought up in the days of the Gestetner copies, DT.
I used to have a similar effect on a work Tassimo machine, was banned from using it.
I prefer the old days when I was about 5 and used spit to stick things together

I laminated my train pass and all the ink melted, I had to pay a fiver for a new one.
so was I boxtops - as a kid, all my school end-ot-term exam papers came off them

I have a lovely stapler which will staple together up to 30 copies, although I have not had occasion to do as many as that yet. It does as many as I need up to now.
Or raffle tickets with perforations that actually tear off without tearing the tickets?
Not to mention biscuit or cracker packets that you can't open without destroying the wrapper and half the contents? And plastic milk bottles where you can't get the top seal undone without spilling the milk?
Hard to believe that when I started in an office (and did a secretarial course), we were taught five different ways of duplicating a document (including up to so many sheets of carbon paper) - we could only use the photocopier on special occasions, it was FAR too expensive!
I have buggered the motors on 2 shredding machines..................the daughter now picks it up and shreds it at work.
"Resealable" packets which are useless unless you can open them properly!
