It was a glorious day here. All 3 loads of washing got dried naturally. I made corn beef hash for dinner. Also made 2 separate meals for freezer for cat sitter, 3 more to go! If he doesn't use them then nothing wasted, we can have them.
I love these dark nights. Love it love it love it.
Not very glorious here Neti .I don't think it actually got light all day and it's been constant mizzle drizzle .Fireworks are going off though.
I did domestic goddessing and made spicy parsnip and carrot soup which we are going to eat shortly with toasted cheese baps .
I just need a couple of sparklers :)

It's been headbangingly miserable here and I shopped in the drizzle, ugh. Had the light on since early afternoon. My sister rang to have a good grumble about it too.
On the good side I was Snowflaked, he's into everything but such a good natured little chap, they both are. Let's hope they stay that way until they leave home :)
Well ..you've got a lovely couple of sparklers there Robinia :)
Couple of crackers!
Lot noisier here than previous years .Someone along here must have mega money to burn.Watched that thing about the Danes and King Alfred .It's alright but a bit slow. Then I watched Unforgotten which is really good.
Night all.
quieter here tonight....I expect that just means more tomorrow and friday....grump grump.
Good morning. Did she actually jump in Unforgotten? I liked her, wanted her husband to find her.
I caught up with Elvis and me but have to admit that Joanna annoyed me. I loved Elvis . Beautiful sunny day I'd better get out of bed.
Am on the bus to I oA. I just decided. Too expensive to park the car . Looking for clothes, boots, bags anything!
full of gloomth out there. We are going to lunch with jno jnr, whose birthday was yesterday... how well I remember the problems getting to hospital when all the taxis (and ambulances) were busy all night ferrying people to bonfires and then on to A&E.

Greyday, greyday! I'm going barmy in this gloomth.

Plenty of loud fireworks last night but they did finish early. I expect more of the same tonight and tomorrow.

Had a couple of hours awake in the night. On the plus side it's amazing how at 4am your brain suddenly works something out that's been puzzling you for weeks. Shame I'm not that sharp during the day.
We segued from fireworks to bad weather last night and the bad weather continues today. We are all a bit weary. If I vanish for any length of time I will be sleeping. :)
Hello all
Sloshing rain and plenty gloomy here too.
My neighbour passed away last night .Poor old girl, she'd been in hospital for a while. Happy release really after being bed bound all those years .
Yes I think she probably did jump Neti .Her wheelie was still on the path.
Although the bus went past so you didn't actually see anything.
It's very good and a great cast .Last one next week .
Have a nice lunch Jno and Happy Birthday to Jnr.

The same happened in Silk.
I bought a jean jacket and a black holey jumper, there was nothing else, looked at handbags, not impressed, tried on boots but couldn't get the right foot in, either they had been babdly made or (as I suspect) my right foot is broader than it should be, got bus home, bus driver kissed me, haven't seen him all summer, did the €millions found I had won €5+ last week!

Am doing a stir fry for tonight and have made individual apricot pies and custard for desert.

I feel shattered. According to my S Health app on phone I have walked 7556 steps and walked for 80 mins, no wonder I am tired!
sorry to hear about your neighbour, shaney. I can't imagine what it must be like to spend years in hospital - not very pleasant, I imagine, but perhaps you'd think the alternative was worse.
She'd been bedbound at home all those years Jno and was only in hospital for a short while, about a month. She was like that when we moved here. She had severe osteoporosis and her ankles had crumbled away .She was always cheerful though. How she lived all those years in one room is beyond thinking about. But as you say better than the alternative and she was happy in her own way.
Sorry about your neighbour Shaney.
The cat and I were sitting all comfortably when Mr N phoned and I had to go out and collect him from the garage as he van is playing up. I changed my slippers but cba to put a bra on. No would would see me.
Lovely feeling, everything is washed and cleared away, kitchen floor mopped, me bathed, washing on timer for the morning, sitting comfortably in bed waiting for the soaps . Jolly was. Now and in was getting quite chilly.
Hope you are all enjoying a pleasant eveningn
