I often see the "Roger & Val have just got in" thread - which has evolved into chat about many other things - on Recently Answered tab, but never see it in Latest posts. I've been on AB this morning from 8.30, and the last post on that thread was at 8.51. It didn't appear on Latest posts. Why is that?

Is the thread more than a month old?
Question Author
It started over 3 years ago.
Sure I saw somewhere that replying to a thread will not bring it back to latest posts if it's over a month old
Nooooooo!!! Bad bad BAD Jo! Do Not, I repeat, do not draw attention to the Biddy Bankers! They'll launch a vicious attack on on you with rolling pins! You do know they're the secret AB Underworld don't you?
Question Author
I see. Thanks to you both. Lol, B00. That's quite an image of subterranean AB.
I mentioned them once and also tried to join in here (http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Technology/Internet/Question1400861.html) but I clearly wasn't welcome. I supposeI'm too young and the wrong sex for the self-proclaimed old biddies group. It's simply a small group who use old threads to have private conversations. Once a thread gets towards 1000 posts long they seem to move to another old thread. It does no harm (other thangoes against the guidance of avoiding chat in non chat areas -eg the Paypal thread) and because it doesn't appear on Latest Posts their regular chat doesn't disturb everyone else.
Quite a good idea really. Maybe spy networks use very old AB threads for 'under the radar' conversations too!
You'll still spot them in 'Recently Answered'
Some topics don't appear in their though, O_G (Chatterbank, crosswords, jokes, Q&P I think) although I suppose you would see them under Recent Posts if you select these topics first.
It's interesting to look at Recent Posts because you sometimes ee spammers posting on 10 year old threads or someone replying with advice on a health issue from 2003
There's also this one which isn't easy to stumble upon but still gets replies

When they reply it turns up in their profile.
Don't see what harm they are doing anyone.
Good on them for finding a way have to have a chat without the narky smart asses poking their noses in.

I don't think they need to be "outed".
Cloverjo was just asking a question. I didn't see it as poking her nose in
^ or trying to out them
Me either Fiction,,,,tell me who is finding the old posts and then posting links to them????????????

Huh???

Leave them alone!!!!
