Can anyone remember a children tv show from the 70s. It was a boy who had a magic carpet. He would sit on it think of a period in time and the carpet would transport him there

Not 100% sure but I think it might have been Jamie's magic carpet.

Yeh I was thinking "Phoenix and the carpet" also...I have a very vague memory of it.

I'd go with philsheen199. The phoenix and the carpet was an E. Nesbit book (though produced for tv) and had several children in the story.
