It depends entirely on your circumstances but there was something on the radio today (listen to Jeremy Vine, Radio 2 on Iplayer) saying that special provision for getting essentials to dependant people will be made by Local Authorities.
they almost certainly won't as setting up arrangements to get food to people would take forever. You could try contacting the shop or shops to ask when they're most empty.
Everyone needs food, not just vulnerable dependent folk. And the honorable types who didn't grab all the stores products for themselves thus causing shortages will be more in need than others. In the event shopping was banned folk wouldn't just sit in and starve to death, there would be riots, and the government would fall. So it ain't likely to be something government would try to pull.
Spain is in total lockdown but everyone is allowed to go food shopping, it would be impossible to stop this, everyone has to eat. I would imagine it would be the same here.
Where my family live in Spain, only six people are allowed in the supermarket at a time, only one person can walk the dog not two, people are being stopped and asked where they live so they don’t stray far.
Only one person been allowed to shop is fine, but what if that person is shopping for two?
Ive had to get my mothers shopping today, but what about my own needs and those that depend on me?
How the hell is this going to work?
