Most modern day comedians get by on smut, I realise we had people like Roy Chubby Brown Whickham I think is gross and Jim Davidson made racist jokes as did the big fat fellow that ran that Wheeltappers and Shunters programme in the 70s when people weren’t so ultra sensitive , even a guy called Chalkie White made gags about colour and he was himself black, I’m pleased those days are gone but so called comedians like some of today, people like Frankie Boyle ,make my skin crawl

My mom went to see The Comedians live in the 70s, she loved them on the tv. She walked out after 20 minutes, the language shocked her to the core and they were very crude.

I normally like Romesh Ranganathan but why did he go on about race in the way he did?

It speaks to the modern right-on concept of 'ownership' - 'If I poke fun at race as an Asian man, it takes the sting out of it when white people do it to Asian people like me'.

It's a bit laboured, and it's a one-trick pony, as most right-on nonsense is.
