Cheryl Cole Mimed her song her,the microphone was covering her mouth and the camera shots were done to avoid seeing her cheating ,

What did you think of N Dubz ? Bit unusual for the Royal Variety I thought .. some of the other acts were new to me. Cheryl Cole is no better than some of the X Factor wannabees. Wonder what Charlie thought ?
ndubz...overrated, I was trying to work out the music they had stolen for their song, spellbound were good and michael mcintyre was good
My grandson went to see Ndubz in a charity concert at Preston Guild Hall in November and they were very very good live apparently

I watched it and thought it was very good this year. I didn't like the song Adele sang but Take That were great and I loved the Les Miserables music. Even sang along with the Chelsea Pensioners.

I know how popular McIntyre is but I cannot abide the guy who I find smarmier than a sack of maggots. The most noticeable thing about the whole show was the relative lack of Yanks (for a change!). It may have been going for 25 years, but the Les Mis excerpts are still riveting entertainment - great stuff!
Michael McIntyre is very very very over-rated in my very humble opinion.
Cheryl Cole likewise. Never heard of Micky Flaneggan so can't comment.
Thought it quite boring for the most of it! All the slow boring songs from Susan Boyle, Jamie Cullen, Les Mis, Cheryl Cole.... and what was the bloody ice skater hanging off the curtains to the suicidal music... thought he was gonna hang himself!!
I thought the comedians were rubbish and I thought Charles and Camelia smiles were rather forced.
Modeller, don't forget they'd been attacked in the student riots on the way there - C&D probably had other things on their minds than Michael McIntyre!
I agree fully with modeller. Nevertheless, perhaps I should award Charles and Camilla full marks for smiling after having been caught-up in a Students revolt, which seems to have started about University fees and ended with an attack on the Monarchy, Says a lot for educated people.!!

Ron
the comedians were total rubbish
I was actually looking forward to watching Spelbound, but due to the director trying to win a BAFTA by have loads of sweeping and long camera shots, you saw bu99er all!!! Why can't they just do a couple of shots instead of trying to win an award every show??
For anyone who have not seen the show Les MIserables if you can get a ticket go and see it, its wonderful, I have been following it round the country for 25 years and never get bored with it, I have the cd on in my car every day, I know Im a sad case but it is magic.

It's boring!
Did Charlie and Camilla have to walk home after the students smashed their car in ? I expect that is why they didn't seem to enjoy the show ..
The ice skater was dire, mainly because of the 'music to cut your throat by'. The rest were pretty average but a cut above the plate spinners and the 'gottle of geer' ventriloquists of yester year.
