Has anyone here ever seen a UFO? Not necessarily a 'flying saucer', just something they couldn't puzzle out what it might be.

Naomi and Talbot. Any more details?
Daytime, a smooth-looking silver ball moving silently and fairly swiftly just above the rooftops of a four storey block of flats. I'd guess it was about 20 or 30ft in diameter.

Thanks, Naomi. It's difficult to estimate size without knowing distance. Did it continue in a straight line until the horizon? Any sound, smoke, lights? The only one I ever saw, a couple of years ago was black, apparently spherical and moved steadily over my back garden and when I went to the front there was no sign of it. Possibly the size of a car. I would have guessed a couple of hundred feet high, but impossible to be sure about that. I presumed it might be some kind of drone, but no noise, no lights, no manoeuvres. The oddest thing I have seen. But nothing concrete to pin down. I'd love to know what it was.
I'm septic about UFO's and TCP'S;-)
Yes.

Melv, you have to be sceptical about extraterrestrial visitors, but odd things in the sky is quite interesting. What are TCP's?
Yes .. I once seen something and watched it for a few hours.
You need TCP if you're septic.

:-) :-) :-)

This was very low ... I don't know how high a four storey block of flats is but it was just above that. We ran across the road and watched it until it disappeared behind the buildings. No noise, no smoke, but it appeared to be on a very definite trajectory. Nothing haphazard about it. If you can imagine the way a ball moves through the air after being thrown, just like that. Absolutely silent. There appeared to be windows at the top of it; the sun was glinting off what looked like glass.
Sorry, I meant to say no observable lights. It was daylight though.
Pyxsis got the joke:-)
Yes. On two occasions. I have to go now, so when I next come on and if this thread is still going, I will give details.

hereIam; look forward to hearing more.
I haven't but my mother seen one quite clearly, back in mid 80s. ( I've relayed this story before on here) It was early hours of morning, she looked out her front room window and saw a very large triangular shape object, with flashing coloured lights all around sides. She said it was very low and close, over housing estate and stayed there for quite a while. Other people seen it too. She couldn't believe her eyes. I've often wondered about it.
Question Author
Patsy, that reminds me of the Belgian UFO's in the 80's.
Interesting!
Maybe someone is experimenting with holograms??
The first incident was when my then boyfriend and I were walking to a pub for a night out, it was winter and dark. From out of nowhere there appeared several small objects (about the size of an old half crown) which floated past my line of vision. They were flat, transparent in the middle and had a thicker outer rim. I never said anything to my boyfriend because I expected him to say I was imagining it, but he suddenly stopped walking and said 'what the bloody hell was that' !!! He had seen them as well and we just stood there looking all around, but they had disappeared as quickly as they appeared. I'll leave it there for now as this thread seems to have come to a full stop.
