Having got to know (a little) some of the AB characters here, I am reminded of a Christmas get-together. Grumpy grandad always saying outrageous PC things; nice sister Sue who is always sympathetic and helpful; Dad who knows everything about practical matters; Uncle Bill who tells naughty jokes; young Dave who's always showing off and trying to be a bit outrageous; Mum, who knows everything about life and loves the royals... Then there's the funny neighbours. the Bloke from next door-but-one who has a St George's cross on his van; Stanley, who goes to the spiritualist church and sometimes goes leafletting; the attractive woman from opposite who is some kind of actress and a remainer; Old Tommy who remembers the war (although he was only three at the end of it) and wishes today was more like yesterday; the young bloke who won't look you in the eye and talks in riddles so you don't know exactly what he's driving at...

An odd bunch, but all basically decent and managing to get on despite the disparities.
"What do you think?"

That you've put too much thought into this ;-)
I think you should tell us who you think is whom :P
I think this thread will end up having a dig at some users
I think way more than I type.
Sod me, if I had neighbours based on the Answerbank phalangists...

I’d MOVE!
You forgot 'the know it all student who tries to start an argument at any opportunity'.

Or maybe they were a bit close for comfort.
Mamya... I think way more than I type.

You simply must do, I'm so pleased about that.

What do you think?

I think the Christmas Spirit is flowing a tad early at Atheist Hall ;o)

I just thought it might stimulate some interesting comments. It's for you to find resemblances. I'm new here, so I'm not really trying to butt in and judge. I'm the new middle-class ponce who tries to show off!
you left out the working women who offer help, talk sense, have great bullsh detectors and like a good laugh. I'm thinking of three in particular, but there are actually quite a lot.
You forgot the slightly vulgar mad auntie who has led a very colourful life, not so much a black sheep more a rainbow flock...
well we ALL know that's you Rowan ! lol xx

Rowan, I didn't want to cross swords with you! I think we're too much alike!

Hi, fbg.
Sorry, pressed the wrong button first time ! Let's have another go : I think you forgot to mention the "bullet makers", mention something that they know will invite comments, turn into a discussion and that discussion turns into an argument ! Quietly though, the bullet maker has taken his leave of the gathering !
Have a great Christmas.

Hey, I was 3 at the end of the war ! ! !
you're not one of the ones still fighting it, Canary...
Question Author
Anybody recognising themselves? fbg, I wasn't hoping for an argument, just a discussion and a laugh.
