Don’t you think this series has become The FAYE v ASHLEY Show? I just don’t see the point in having the likes of them on Strictly. It’s a bit like having a series teaching celebs motor racing with Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettell among the contestants. One series for the pro dancers (if they must be involved) and another for the amateurs, I say

depends on how much ballroom dancing they did in their past. If not a lot or none, then they are still amateurs.
personally i'm rooting for stacey dooley, she has come on leaps and bounds and could win the thing
I'm with you on that, Emmie
Neither of them are professional ballroom dancers so your analogy does not hold up. Plus neither of them will win. The public won't vote for an American to win!
i am enjoying the series, but it does seem strange when what look like good dances get criticised so heavily, and not so good don't always get the panel to be fair. not sure how else to put that, but anyway i hope Stacey goes through.
If you go back through past winners, the contestants that the public feel are 'too professional' never seem to win. The contestants who, from being non-dancers, have made the most progress throughout the series tend to end up winning. So I think it's probably between Stacey and Joe. In the meantime it's nice to watch really good dances and it sets the standard for all.
So I like the balance of the show as it is.
I had my money on Kate Silverton but her and Aliaj aren't doing too well at present, though she looks good.
I too like Stacey and jo and Charles. I can't understand why Charles has been in the bottom 2 so much x
I think Charles comes across as arrogant and the public dont like that so dont vote for him.
i agree with the comment above re charles. he is very unlikable for some reason
....it's a light-entertainment show - don't take it so seriously (to the OP)

It is supposed to be a light entertainment show, but it looks like FAYE and ASHLEY are both taking it very seriously indeed and wanting to beat one another to the Glitterball. If either of them are to win, I expect it to be FAYE as she is British....and I don’t find Ashley likeable.
Have you taken over from vernonk? Your posts every year are identical ??? I personally couldn't care less about so called professional dancers, I just enjoy watching them and I especially love watching Faye and Gio - hope they win actually.
