They're having beans and cheese on toast (because they were supposed to be coming in at different times), I'm having cheesy, mushroomy, hammy mess (it's a kind of badly done omelette that looks awful but is lush - I wouldn't impose it on the others).
omelette mess - is something i have quite often just without the mushrooms
I'm in comfort food mode but i don't have the patience to cook, so it will be freezer pot luck, i'm hoping there is some ragu in there so all i have to do is cook some pasta and warm it up
We finished off the spicy butternut squash soup for lunch, followed by fruit.
Later we'll be having roast portobello mushrooms with a crunchy breadcrumb and sliced almond topping, with a fried egg sitting precariously on top. With that we'll have corn on the cob and homemade sweet potato chips.
FAO Queen of mean - what do you call beef olives, growing up mother made them out of frying steak bashed out and cut into strips wrapped rounds seasoned minced then stewed.
But over here in NI they are huge things a complete steak wrapped round stuffing - don't like them anyway near as much as my mothers
