If "YES" If Each elected Government was to tell the truth they would get more respect from the Public? but no each & every one blames each other, If I was wrong I would admit it but its seems that these people think they are above the Sense of the UK Public, they know that there is a Serious Problem with the likes of the NHS, Police, Schools, Public Services but yet the rub salt in the wounds by continuing sending Aid Abroad & in the Millions, Why, are we such a stupid walk over Country? do other Countries hand out monies like its peanuts?

'Overseas aid' is not primirally intended to help the indegenous population , but rather to make it easier for us to gain from the natural resourses of the particular country , in time
truth isn't a thing politicians are big on.....
Germany gives the same (0.7%) of its GDP to overseas aid.

France is the world’s fourth biggest Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) donor in terms of budget, contributing almost €10 billion annually (€9,348 million in 2011), and the second biggest in terms of percentage of Gross National Income (GNI) at 0.46%.

Italy’s aid increase is the fourth biggest relative increase of all DAC donors, and the fifth biggest increase in volume. This reflects the commitment of the current Italian government to getting development spending back on track.

It was the Pearson Commission in 1969 – in its report Partners in Development – who proposed a target of 0.7% of donor GNP to be reached “by 1975 and in no case later than 1980.” This suggestion was taken up in a UN resolution on 24 October 1970.
Zacs....don't let facts get in the way of a rant.
I thing the NHS's policy of rubbing salt in the wound is barbaric and should be stopped with immediate effect!
I agree, Talbot, it's a cruel practise!!

Where do you see a rant Ummmm? what's the purpose of this site?
It's just very repetitive. You just reword the same questions. Zac has answered you as have many people before.
I feel your pain TWR, but really don't feel that things will change, sadly x

OH I forgot, half of you think you run the site, sorry for my intrusion, I will ask permission from the righteous the next time I want to post, your right Chap, but they can not help the way they are can they?
Stop being a drama queen.
Governments have always blamed their predecessors,it will ever be so.

I think your question about whether other countries give overseas aid has been very well answered in great depth above.
I suspect the post didn't go the way TWR hoped it would. I think it was a call to arms, which failed.

I was referring to the so called "Rant" but there we go children.
But you had some decent and well informed answers, surely that is most important.

For goodness sake man, grow up will you?
Don't worry TWR, I like you. I'm off now, got tea to cook x

Don't dislike him Chap, it's just the amount of uninformed carp he spouts as gospel that becomes tedious.
It is not your money TWR, let it go, focus on the good that the money and the NHS does.
I also like TWR. Not agreeing someone is not a sign of disliking them.
