what takes your fancy today?

Some home made lentil soup with warm crusty bread if the weather is completely lousy.
Toasted cheese and bacon sarnies?

Love your sense of decorum Fluff. xx
(person after me own heart) ☺
Tea at 3 requires a pot of tea and perhaps a biscuit. Not hungry as lunch at 1.00 was quite filling and I don't want to spoil dinner at 7.30.

McM, after I've washed me eyes (thanks to you av) I'll try and find a kettle to make a cuppa for you x

What you planning on munching at 7.30?
i missed lunch and not sure if im having dinner....
Question Author
scotch pies, beans and chips here, Fluff, you're more than welcome x
I will be in on my own and I'm having .......fish finger butties lol
Question Author
Lynda, I see a few folk on here who chat about fish finger butties, even when I mentioned that gross act to Mr Alba, he started to slobber.
I'm missing something :-D
alba our 7.30 meal will start with a light tomato, onion, rocket and feta salad, followed by pieces on roast chicken in a spicy tomato and mixed bean cause. Cheese and biscuits if there's any room.
Just a cup of tea would be nice.
I've just made a large pan of vegetable soup.

It's got butternut squash, carrots, parsnips, potato, broccoli, olive oil and a Knorr stockpot - all whizzed in a liquidiser.

It's not bad, though a touch sweet.
fish finger butties with mayo are amazing alba you must try them.

tea on its way JJ xx

McM, that sounds lovely, would 7 be too early with a bottle of plonk?

Hoppy, I know how to thicken a runny soup but not how to lessen the sweetness. :-(
I love fish fingers, they're my guilty pleasure. BUT they have to be Birds Eye haddock fish fingers, the bread has to be soft, and it has to be spread with Lurpak. Lovely and healthy!
I'm just having a cup of cup a soup. I can't be bothered to make anything.
I've also made a big pot of lentil soup early this morning. Had it for breakfast and will have it for dinner also.
Question Author
BM, are you all cooked out? :-(
You do some lovely dinners xx

Lynda, I'm becoming converted, plain bread, lurpack, decent fish fingers and mayo. I will report back in a couple of weeks :-D

Society, I'm a home-made lentil soup addict, I like it thick, the younger alba spreads it on bread (don't ask!!)
um, court risen early on cold day, Barmaid ?

My dog found a frozen drum stick (it's a bit of a chicken you townies) covered in curry source in a pool of slush and pronounced it delicious
lol, no, I'm on strike. All services have been withdrawn until future notice.
