Yes me fredkins - until rod stewart came on and I went to make a cup of tea
i just feel very proud....
i missed rod stewart.. thank god....
he's back on later and hopefully won't make such a hatchet job....almost McCartneyesque or CherylColeawful in the sound.
Amore - singing "Nimrod" - just fantastic.
Poor Rod.....he's an old man now.....mind you, he would still have got thrown out of my local for singing like that.
what song did he murder dt??...errr i mean what did he sing??
Worst so far, The Royal Marines.......... why can't they stick to traditional tunes like the RAF, and the Royal Navy, perhaps it's me just dislikes incessant drumming.
Auld Lang Syne (or at least I think it was)
Have always been a loyal fan of Rod Stewart, been to his concerts etc, but even I think he should give up now he has lost his gravelly voice, due to the throat cancer scare some years back he's not the same.

Please do not make light of this post, It Is not about Rod Stewart,It Is about all the men and women who have lost their lives due to so many wars.My son wanted to join the armed forces but for the grace of god this is awful to say (he has a chronic Illness ) that stopped him.He is studying to be a Bio-Chemist to try and help people instead.
i missed the rod stewart bit thank goodness in kitchen. rest is excellent.
have two grandsons serving. one marine now in afghanistan and one a paratroooper. quite often have my heart ready to break when i hear news.
I'm afraid some of these organisers seem to hang on to the same old 'entertainers' for old times sake and most of them have had their day unfortunately.
So many of the celebrations this year have been ruined, IMO, because of this misplaced loyalty towards those who should have hung up their vocal chords long ago.
Watching "The Somme" on More Four. Powerul testament to the stupidity of war and the braveness of the poor beggars who got caught up in it.
Who was the singer Laura who sang just before the hymn, that was so moving.

lady-janine I hope with all my heart your two boys are kept safe.
How much did Rod Stewart have to pay the legion to sing tonight, they should have had him on at the very end. It would have emptied the hall quicker.
Not in tear's fredkins but very moved.
The purpose of the festival is remembrance though not a music show. If Rod Stewart wants to pay his respects it shouldn't matter if he's past it, it's not a pop festival.
