........................... must be the most annoying, aggravating and loudest woman in entertainment, surely?

I just walked through our lounge and Loose Women is on the TV (ug!) and all I could make out was her horrible cackly voice.

Does anybody like her?

She is one of those sort of people that has to be in the limelight. She never knows when to stop. I feel like slapping her. I can't somehow imagine her ever being interested in anybody else except herself.
oh purleaze!.. dont get me started on lorra-lorra-laffs-cilla! ... grrrrrr ...
i Can Not Stand the way she puts it on with her 'accent' (when she remembers thats is) saying 'clerr' instead of claire, 'herr' instead of hair and 'therr' instead of there...! and then enquires with ''whatt??!!'' when she gets the expected response/laughs from her 'funny' pronunciations .... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Jenni Bond also annoys me, just one of many on the TV that do I'm afraid

Can't stand Angela Rippon either or Gloria Honeyford.

OMG. I don't like anybody!!
I like her because I loved her songs when I was a teenager. However I've never met her, so am quite prepared to believe the comments. She will be by no means the only person to display a completely different persona off-screen than on-screen.
oh god gloria hunniford too ... noooooooo!
you just know what shes going to talk about dont you, Every Time you see her on the box being interviewed.
and yes, i know its a subject thats close to her daughter etc, i understand that, but she does get a bit tiring though.
oh, and yep, barbara windsor, she gets on my doo dars aswell, with her false cackling laugh (so glad shes gone from EE, she was dreadful in that)
* yes i know is a subject close to her heart, her daughter*
well, I can only say that whatever she is, it didn't seem false; she was the same in private as in public, allowing for the modest amount of exaggeration that anyone on TV has to do. I've known plenty of people with stronger accents than their neighbours; that's what accents are.
Glad I'm not alone in thinking that Cilla "puts on" the accent - think that Scouse comedian John Bishop does, too.
Hi Lottie

Agree!! Can't stand any of the women you can't stand!! God I'm becoming a grumpy miserable woman!!
xx
Have to agree with the criticism of her perculiarly exaggerated 'Scouse' voice, but i am advised by those who know more than I that in the 60's she was known as a technically proficient singer - whether you like her voice / records or not.

She is as other TV 'personalities' of a certain age, trading on a level of charm which, if it ever existed , has long since evaporated.
pah, I can't stand any of you, ya bunch of moaning minnies...
Mrs Willis is very middle class with plum in mouth; not a scouser in our salon.
Without a doubt tamborine.

I have no problem with a Liverpudlian singer losing her accent when she becomes a rich Southerner - only when she tries to pretend that she hasn't forgotten her roots, and lets everyone know by strangling her vowels within an inch of their lives!
and with a face now resembling an old chipmunk (no offence to chipmunks)
i knew a diver who use to take celebrities around
black and Robbie Coltrane. were the worst people he'd ever encountered in all his
years in that occupation
if he was a diver, perhaps should have taken them out to sea...
Question Author
Actually yes she does look like an old chipmunk!! LOL

(I love chipmunks)
yeh em10 well spotted and think if he had been he would have done
I was told that Paul Merton was like that as well, unpleasant and rude, from a cabbie.

And the little springwatch bloke whose name escapes me is incredibly rude and grumpy. Remembered Bill Oddie
