Yes, she was a legend.

I remember her coming out and saying 75 is a good time to go. Slightly premature but she seemed content with going

//“If things are starting to drop off – like the hearing – and I’ve got twinges in the morning, I do think that.” //
Yes indeed RIP Cilla.
such a shame... RIP Cilla :(
That seems rather sudden. I know we all have to go in the end but 72yrs is no great age nowadays especially as she had not, apparently, been suffering long term or recent illness. Such is life!! :-(
Good god that's a shock.

Some would say that the human body isn't designed to be over 75, others would say these days its no age at all. I only read an article today about a British nurse, 75, who chose to die in a swiss clinic rather than be a burden. She had no apparent illness.
Retro if that was indded the case then she was very blessed.
Bit of a shock, can't remember reading she was ill. RIP Cilla
Sorry ^^^^typo indeed
How sad, and sudden.
goodness, that's very young for someone well off and apparently not ill.
Really shocked as she looked so fit and younger than her age. I am about to be 72 and look older than she did in her recent photos. Totally unexpected.
I'm so pleased that she worked with the production of the recent Cilla series starring Sheridan Smith, nice to have a tribute that she could actually watch and enjoy.
oh goodness what a shock RIP Cilla .

Article updated - "Natural Causes"
they're just saying it seems like natural causes, which means they haven't spotted anything else like gunshot wounds, suicide notes etc. All they say is that she was suffereing from arthritis and deafness, which don't kill you, at least I hope they don't.
May she Rest in peace, sad news.
I wasn't aware that she had been ill. My goodness...another part of my life in the 60's gone. Poor Cilla...RIP indeed.
OMG how spooky. I have just 5 minutes ago finished watching the 3 part series Cilla that I missed last time and was re-shown last night.
She was indeed a legend.
