Panasonic has an advert on T.V. which illustrates the difference between 'ordinary signals' and those which are received on the firm's High Definition Television sets.

I am able to appreciate from the advert that there does appear to be a higher quality picture. However, as I am viewing the difference on a 'normal' television, I am wondering where my thoughts are going wrong on matters.

Your post reminded me of an advert on years ago. Andre Previn (I think) was extolling the virtues of the display of a TV (Sony Triniton I also think).

Trouble was, how could you tell when viewing on the telly you had?
If you go to your nearest SONY Showroom, they usually have live (or videod) HDTV transmissions showing.
Believe me it will blow your mind!
I have the TV mentioned and am amazed at the sharpness of the picture, so go and treat yourself.
