Got highways agency chartered surveyor coming around then their house valuer .
Been a year since we were told of compulsory purchase order so fingers crossed we get a fair price for our property.
Next month we are up back in North Lincolnshire to hopefully find our new bungalow or house.
Be glad when it's all over to be honest.

forgot to say zebo we have our own chartered surveyor he has given us a quote we are happy with but the final say will be tomorrow by the highways agency if we dont agree with him our surveyor will have to talk to him and come to an agreement
As long as you were happy with it volty. I don't think I'd enjoy getting a CPO .. x

To be honest hereiam we talked about it 5 years that this might happen due to the traffic around here so yes a shock.. but after a week of being told we agreed it was a good thing so let's hope a new start in a quiet place with no pollution
Hope it all goes smoothly for you :-)
Yes, good luck volty.
Good luck Volty.

Is your house part of Ightham Cottages, or on the Bean side of the A2/Bean Lane junction? I'm interested as I live close to DV Hospital and would like to know how much more traffic chaos those of us living nearby will have to endure over the next few years (the plans on the Highways Agency website aren't very clear!).
All the best for tomorrow volty, hope you get a good price and hope you find a lovely new home.
The very positive side is that if you can agree a price quickly you will save the stress and heartache associated with trying to sell and it will put you in the driving seat for your move as a purchaser with a sold property! You do know I hope that the nickname of Lincolnshire residents is the Yellowbellies, a military reason I believe.
There is a little bit about it here Zebo.

Phew had building surveyors in this morning for 2 hours apart from a slight bit of damp all ok nothing to worry about.
Just had highways agency valuer around he's happy we will know in 3 weeks time how much we are getting. I told him our price we are looking for he said that's about where he is for he's value so that sounds good.
So mid February can put down an offer for new house when we find it!

twix 123 you are spot on... in 2020 they will knock our houses down putting in a new road supposedly to make the traffic better ...you know what its like around here dont hold your breath!

At last we have our valuation off highways England...wanted £250,000 they offered £260,000 plus 10% on top for making us move so £286,000 we are both well happy with the offer!
so now got 6 bungalows to look at in 2 weeks time lets hope an offer will be accepted if we find one we like!
