I’ve been offered 220
It’s been on sale since end of September and I reduced it in November
Should I accept it?

only you can decide that Ric, depends on what you're happy with.
Do you want a quick sale?
If so, accept the 220, alternatively suggest to lawyer that the offer is too low and closer to 230 would be better.
I think £17000 under the current price is too low. See if you can get them to offer more, Ric.

I don’t NEED a quick sale- obviously it would be nice but should I hang on for another 10k
It’s tricky
Question Author
No she has said it’s her best and final - it’s all she can go too
Then why is she looking for a house priced at £237000?
What have other similar houses in your area sold for? Use that as a guide. If you go to a site like zoopla, you can see recent sales.
Does she know it's already been reduced?
you don't need a quick sale, then hang on in there Ric !
I personally think that's too low, but if you are in a hurry to sell it may be necessary to let it go that low. Are you in a hurry?

Keep your help coming in
I am really really grateful (as usual) for all your help
Hang on till at least Spring when sales are usually better. Good luck!
It is about 7% below asking price, which is about average for the country. It depends whether 237K or 250K was the fairer asking price. If you thought 250K was reasonable I would hold on a bit.
I'd hold out for more if a quick sale is not important.

BTW re time of year - is Spring a good time to be selling, or any other time?
Of course she says it's her best and final offer.

Send the message that the lowest you can go to is 230.

Hope to settle on 225.
Take a chance, wait for spring .
I know you've asked about this sale before and as others have said wait if you're not in a hurry but with one proviso - have estate agents told you 237 is a fair price? If it's overpriced it's not going to sell anyway until the market inflates it to that price so you could be waiting a long time.
Question Author
Hi Prudie
The estate agents initially put it up for £250 expecting anything from £237-250. As I’m not in a hurry I’m not going to accept.
She'll be back with another offer.
The price that you have put the house up for sale, is not an absolute. There is no absolutes with house prices.

A house is worth whatever the person buying it, thinks it is !

Its what you and the Estate Agent have agreed that its worth. If you don't need the money desperately, then hang on for your asking price.

I’ve got them up to 230 (eventually)
