I have bought a rather nice writing slope on ebay, however the lock doesn't work at all. Its quite easy to remove though and in fact I suspect that its not the original one anyway. I've hunted around but the only supplier of replacements I could find is in america and the p and p is huge.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier of writing slope (wooden box) locks please? Either new or old but they must work and come with a key.

Have spent today here losing my internet, losing my satellite and wading (well paddling) round the garden keeping the garden to garden drainage free whilst getting rained on. Oddly the dogs loved it, last winter heavy rain and wind made them very upset so that's a good thing. Neti be careful with the paracetamol, can you not get ibuprofen?

Jno, London has its own microclimate, my mother's garden was always about two weeks ahead of mine and she could grow things I couldn't, even though I am well south of London. My garden is starting to look seasonal, snowdrops, miniature iris, the first daffs and my flowering plum. I am so glad I did the tub thing. The ground is sodden and I suspect that some of the older plants in the lower end that are in the ground will rot off this year. The christmas roses are stunning, will take some photos.....okay Neti, you can start reading now....
Yes I have ibuprofen but thought it wasn't advisable with diazepan which I am.still raking and now having taken 2 magnesium tabs I have felt sick and giddy surely this is psychosymatic?

well magnesium won't make you feel sick and giddy. I have just done a drug interraction search and found that ibuprofen MIGHT make you sleepy and judgement impaired if taken with diazepam.

paracetamol, 500 to 1000 mg every 4 hours, no more than 4000 mg in 24 hours and if you are taking that much then no alcohol as paracetamol is metabolised through the liver.
Thank you woofy that is so kind if you. Am grinning and bearing it. Not taking diazepan anymore as it's not a muscular thing is it? Mr N has cut up some old socks and rolled them onto my poor wrist and it feels so much better as it is supporting it. I am getting fed up and do not want to be taking all this rubbish medicine.
Off to sleep now
Oight oight x

Oh dear Neti, I hope you get it sorted soon. Yes you have given the diazepam a good go and if it was going to work, it would have by now. Sleep well, oight oight
Hello all
Just a quick pop in before I crawl off to bed.
Can you get the Tubigrip stuff in your neck of the woods Neti ?That may help to support it or you could try rubbing some gel in.Voltoral or something like that .Bldy painful isn't it.
Went shopping with my brother and we had a lunch out and then popped in to see my nephew where I made a fuss of his new dog ,Charlie the chocolate lab.
Very nice lunch,I had steak and kidney pud .I had to struggle to eat it all,it was so huge.I didn't feel like going out really with this leg but dosed myself and gritted my teeth.Poor old lad wants company.
Hope you're all ok ..ish and I'll say 'night all.
Good morning folks,
Aw how is your poor brother shaney? Not that I expect him to be leaping about, must be the worse feeling on earth at his age, or any age come to that.
I've been going through my unused Meds and there is something called condrosan and another called acelofenaco, think they were for bones and aches? Will ask in pharmacy and if so I'll renew the prescription. Stopped taking them ages ago, maybe I shouldn't have,
How is the leg today, what is it, is it an ulcer?
Hope Robi is getting better and Jude getting better, and woofy's knee is better. Hope jno is skipping around town looking hither and thither,
Weather here has been pretty good. Don't need a jacket when outside, just a hoodie and jeans. Only have the fire on for a couple of hours in the evening then we don't need it.
Shouldn't moan really should I!
Morning all
Nice and bright out there today and colder than it has been .The temps are up and down like a yoyo.
Those tablets are anti-inflammatories Neti .I would ask the mexico before taking them as you've got other meds atm .

http://www.medicalcarezone.com/medications-and-supplements/taking-condrosan/
No idea about this leg and I don't think they know what it is at the doctors either ! I'll report back after I go there again tomorrow .
My brother is alright but he's lonely which is only to be expected.
Hope you're all ok and that the poorlies are rallying .I'd better rally myself and do something like get dressed etc and do some household tasks that I've been putting off doing.
Over and out for now.
Back from village and have bought a wrist and an elbow support as I really can't wear Mr N's chopped off socks in public., and have made a beef stew as it didn't take much preparing, is now in oven on slow for a few hours. I can't let Mr N cook all the time when he is working all day.

2x? Not surprised,
Thanks for the info in English shaney so much easier to understand. Am gonna take the aceclofena to or whatever as it is pain relied, took myself off condrosan years ago so will ask Mexico , just need to relieve the damn pain,
nice and sunny today but I stayed in as I was waiting for a passport. I finally got an email saying it would be in the mail tomorrow but I shouldn't actually need to sign for it, so I can go out and paint the town red.
