I have bought a rather nice writing slope on ebay, however the lock doesn't work at all. Its quite easy to remove though and in fact I suspect that its not the original one anyway. I've hunted around but the only supplier of replacements I could find is in america and the p and p is huge.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier of writing slope (wooden box) locks please? Either new or old but they must work and come with a key.

haha jno if you were not much struck by his plight you would probably have been much struck by him himself hahaha, oh that tickled me!
Oh poor jude,,I think she has only just got to the footy match, ,something about forgetting her ticket, I absolutely love her,

oh no!
Oops 1-3 to man u.
that was a shorter sleep than I wanted but I shall try to stagger on through the day. I hope biddies' aches and pains are in retreat.
Tut, nothing changes with this site does it? Door keeps slamming in my face.

Anyway, good morning. It's windy, bitterly cold, rf -3C and the sun's disappeared.

Yes jno, I can see how he would have brought out your generous side, haha. In the words of the song, I think I'd better think it out again. If I win the lotto I'll stay put and hide my diamonds under my anorak. Speaking of diamonds, tiaras are the latest fashion, I knew we'd be trendsetters one day. Blingy libbies next year, that's what people need. We'll make the cover of Vogue yet.

Hope everyone's coping with their aches 'n pains. Better not mention the footy. Oh, too late, neti already did.

Good day every biddy. Lovely and sunny here.
Same old same old here, food shopping, breaking, coffee with gbf.
Was in one of the cheap Chinese shops when one of the Spanish assistants said my face had been worrying her (I think it worries a lot of people to be honest) then she asked was i Molly's daughter and I was so surprised as mummy as been dead nearly 26yrs. Said I had the same looks then she shrieked off to find directions her mum who came rushing up to me kissing and hugging me, chatting 19 to the dozen, do I live in the house, had i always been here etc. Have to say it was nice. But didn't get any discount!
Won 7.78€ on the lottery, not quite the win I was hoping for,
Mr N is bring home a Chinese meal tonight, oh scrumptious,
Wher's our jude then??

Oh that is so cruel jno.
Evening all
Oh no ... that's not nice Jno ..poor Jude. I'm used to glum faces and in depth discussions over football though. It goes in one ear and out the other.
Hope you're all ok ..Bit of dismal day although it did brighten up for about half an hour .
We've been out earlier this evening for a meal for the birthday boy to the Priory at St Olaves . Very nice too. They do lovely whitebait.
The colouring looks interesting Woofy .I may print a couple off but doubt I'll be sharing them on social media :)
Tiaras are all the rage ? I'd better get polishing.
Night all.
Good morning all. Shame about Terry Wogan, I loved him in the early 70s when I was working in North London, I was the only one in the office of a telescope manufacturers and he'd have me dancing round the room with Fight the flab, as if I had any in those days,
How nice you for and Mr S shaney. I take it he is ok now?
Morning...there's a pigeon cooing down my chimbley. He's probably complaining about the grim weather. Had a lousy night's sleep and I feel like one of those wooden artist's figures that someone's twisted into an impossible pose.

I'm sure Jude gets used to all the footy teasing, she always takes my Nottm Forest quips in good humour. She knows I know nowt about it. :)

Yes, very sad about Terry Wogan, I didn't know he was ill.

Yes, another icon from our youth gone. its grey and miz here. The dogs didn’t even want to get up for breakfast.
Had a lovely day. We drove round looking for a local ibicenco place to eat , had a coffee at the famous Bar Anita in San carlos where my chair went down a hole and I'm had to grab a tree with my bad arm ouch, then we went to the famous Las dalias but didn't fancy sitting crossed legs making God's eyes and eating mung beans, so we endedon't up in a new place where we ate typical food, bit of a shock but tasty, it was pork bones, potato, cabbage, black sausage and sobrasada.. the meat on the ones was delicious just like boiled ham, but some of it looked suspicious. Looked like a p e n i s but as pig ones are curly and this wasn't I, still left it. Then I found a tooth/ fingernail but Mr N assured me it was a chip of a ball socket. I did think of superrors glueing it to my gappy mouth but he took it away.
It's not something I would eat everyday but it was very tasty. I do like trying new dishes. Just had a lovely bath and now in bed as arm is aching a bit, drinking a good old cuppa and eating peanut brittle!
Mr N has bought hija a car, but if it's better than mine I'm having it and she's going to have mine,
Hello all
Miserable day,piddling with rain.
Yes ,sad news about Terry Wogan and now Frank Finlay has died.Big names are dropping like flies lately.
Lol..Neti the description of your lunch made me laugh. Mr S is as fit as a butcher's dog ...me ,I'm fit for nothing :)
Lol neti, I wish I had your digestive system.

These wet days are depressing, they do nothing for the creaky brigade do they.
Just watched the tennis and now it's Ladies in Lavender (yes, again). I'll watch it with one eye and knit with the other....And I'll nosey through the nets with the ones in the back of my head. :)
