Which ABers would you have over for dinner and why?

If it were possible I would have you all over.

ABers represent a broad divergency of life and opinions and thats how it should be.

Personally, I would have my AB Facebook friends over

(Smow, Murray etc)

Then I would have Buenchico just so that I could pick his brains about almost anything.

Then there is naomi. Would love to meet her in person. Comes across as very well read.

Opposite ends of the political spectrum but the same side re: religion.

(If Theland was still with us he would most def get an invite. No other religionist on AB comes close)

Atheist would get an invite because, well, he's an atheist😂

Would love to meet Sqad. A cantankerous GP. Gotta be a laugh there surely?

Douglas. A quick wit that would be welcome at any party.

Andy Hughes, because he's a fellow Stokie.

Tilly, because she's also a fellow Stokie who I have met and she is such a sweet lady.

I'd obviously start with fellow cat lovers, such as Wolf63, Campbellking, Haras2 and Barmaid.

Then, of course, I'd want the lovely Karamia there too.

Inviting Sunny Dave would hopefully see Gness tagging along too, even though she's currently 'user inactive' on AB.

Lie-in King would definitely be on my list, along with the AB member whose ability to ask incisive questions and critically analyse responses I so greatly admire. Now what's his name? Oh, I know, it's Nailedit ;-)

Hmmm...I had to give this a bit of thought. There's lots of Abers I like. But do they like each other...would they be hissing and spitting all through the meal?...or flirting outrageously? What do they have in common? What do I have in common with them?

So...I started with a few people who are on their own...inspired by thisoldbird the other night. She's invited. Also jj, because she'd be an absolute hoot. On to countrylover (Lottie)...though she's not on her own, she's not able to get out so much now. And we'd talk about all the stuff we've each filled our homes with. Wolf and Chris...they both need a good sit down meal that doesn't include crisps, beans or sardines. I don't know if wolf drinks booze...if she doesn't she'll have to supply her own Pepsi/ coke zero/whatever 🙄😆. I'd also invite Red because I know she's a fantastic cook and would probably bring good gin or whisky. I need a few more men here...based on my original premise of those on their own...you nailedit as you are a gentleman at heart, intelligent and opinionated, as are sandyRoe and L. I. K.

I could think of others...with a different theme. People with interesting and useful hobbies or creative interests maybe.

Quite a few but I only like small quiet dinner parties with interesting people who are intelligent. So Pasta because we're two of a kind in many respects, Naomi, Buenchico, both are interesting and intelligent and I'm intrigued to know whether they match my ideas of what they look like. Mozz because our musical tastes match and he seems such a nice guy Red Helen a heart of gold but won't take any nonsense and she can do the cooking. Definitely Barmaid and New Judge.

Lots of lovely others I could name for ongoing dinner parties, but 8 is enough.
