There are many ways to cook an egg, but one of the simplest and most versatile methods is to fry it. Here are the steps:

Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat.

Add a small amount of oil or butter to the pan and let it melt.

Crack the egg into a small bowl or ramekin, being careful not to break the yolk.

Once the pan is hot, gently pour the egg into the pan.

Cook the egg for 2-3 minutes, until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny.

Using a spatula, carefully flip the egg over and cook for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute, depending on how well-done you like your yolk.

Use the spatula to remove the egg from the pan and transfer it to a plate.

Season with salt and pepper, and enjoy!

Note: You can also cook an egg in many other ways, such as boiling, poaching, scrambling, or baking, depending on your preferences and the recipe you're using.

Or how to destroy an egg..
I heard that, if you give the egg a good shake, the yolk will stay in the middle of the white.
If you give it a really good shake it will scramble inside the shell

I thought Answerbank was all but finished but with new and exciting contributors like monir92778888 (lovely name) it may just survive for a few more years.

Would love to know if monir92778888 is pro or anti milk in scrambled egg.

There are some people who don't know how to cook an egg. What I don't understand about these instructions is that, frying the egg for 2/3 mins until the whites set, but the yolk is still runny. Why would you need the yolk to still be runny, when you are going to flip it over? And cook for a further 30 seconds to 1 min. Within 30 seconds or even less the yolk will be well and truly set. I'm not one of the people that don't know how to cook an egg am I? :O(
He's new, get ova it.
My favourite cooked egg is scrambled on toast. I like a fried egg sandwich though!
We had sausages, chips, peas and fried egg for dinner last night. The eggs were crispy and lacey around the edge and lovely and yolky in the middle. Just right for dipping the chips in.
I don't like a runny yolk on my egg , thank you very much

I don't like rare meat either .
I like mine the way the Americans do - 'burnt'
