The best of a poor bunch is Nescafe from Iceland of all the unlikely places! It's roasted for the Brazilian market so has more oomph than the feeble UK version.
Aldi medium roast Colombian.
diddlydo I thought nescafe was necafe was nescafe!
Dowe Egbert's Pure Indulgence
Nescafé Azera. Comes in different varieties. Expensive, but the next best thing to real coffee.
Agree that Nescafe Azera is by far the best, and is quite often on offer at Tesco. Next best I've found is Aldi Intenso (in a tin), and it's only £2.19
Kenco DeCaf here
I just drink Tescos own brand, however since moving in with my parents I use their Tassimo for Americano. Haven't had instant in ages.
Decaf??? You'll be drinking alcohol-free Grey Goose next.
I am loving my Dolci Gusto Tiggs
Nescafé Gold Blend, also the decaffeinated version.
I was drinking ordinary JD but as I drink coke and coffee, never tea, Blughh, I started to get palpitations , went to get my "Dicky Ticker" checked , all was okay but was advised to reduce my caffeine intake
Nescafé Alta Rica

Never pay full price for it. I usually buy several jars at Tesco when it's on offer.

At the moment it's £4 per 100g jar from most places, including Tesco, but £3 a jar at Waitrose.
That's what I'm getting for my news house, Bobbs :o)
I agree Alta Rica is the next best thing to Azera. My problem is that I've now got four jars of different blends on the go but I am an inveterate tea drinker. I can go months without a cup of coffee; in fact the last one I had was well before Xmas. I can't do without my tea, however.
Davidoff rich aroma instant coffee is the best you will ever taste. Unfortunately it's £19-00 per 100g from Amazon and even dearer elsewhere.

Thanks for your answers. I should have mentioned at the beginning I only shop at Tesco and I don't do decaff, but you have given me a few to look at, and taste.
Do not drink a lot of instant, mainly get beans for the machine, but when we do it's Douwe Egbert's Pure Indulgence.
Online usually but Beanies flavoured coffees are interesting I love the double chocolate as it has a rich mocha flavour.
