..will mostly be veg stir fry, with chicken and Singapore noodles. Looking forward to it as the last few evening meals have been a bit pitiful due to circumstances.
Starters will be G&T...Tanqueray no. 10 and Bombay sapphire...puds will be ripe and ready nectarine and some yoghurt.
How about you, what's Thursday evening going to bring forth in your kitchen??

Sardines on toast.
An early birthday treat of crispy duck, pancakes, plum sauce, cucumber and spring onions will be served at Cake Towers, maybe with a small glass of something.

Trying to decide if we should catch up with the Suranne Jones programme from last night or watch Grand Designs.
Nowt thrilling, doing a mid week (ish) roast.

Chicken, roasties, and steamed runner beans.

Pudding might be a yogurt if wanted.

Ooh, why, bednobs, what's going on??
Ummm, I'm going to pick up some lamb steaks in Costco next week, haven't had them for ages. Are you having a sauce with them?
Eccles,watch Dr Foster,Grand Designs won't grip you - was a bit 'meh'.

I had sardines on toast for lunch mamya, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Suranne Jones was great, I have grand designs waiting in the wings... Think I may have to pick up the crispy duck thing at Costco too :)
Boo, a mid week roast type thing always goes down well with me, I could live on roast dinners.
I'll make some sort of sauce. Not sure what I have in the fridge/freezer.
I just ate some slow cooked belly pork,I couldn't wait til later. If I'm hungry at 8-9,I'll have a bit of cheese.
I didn't care too much for Grand Designs last night...it just wasn't to my taste.
Question Author
Pasta, I love belly pork but haven't had it in years, used to buy it a lot.
So, the consensus is that grand designs isn't worth watching?? Am looking forward to Gareth Malone tonight.
The article I saw about Grand Designs made me wonder about the character of someone who wanted to live in a vast and extremely minimalist house, can't quite bring myself to call it a home.

Did seem to have som interesting artwork though.
i am sick and have only just got up/dressed
Yes,his concept and artwork were brilliant but as you say not at all my style.

Feel better soon Bednobs.
Bednobs, you need a bowl of Heinz Tomato soup to go along with your Dairylea on Toast......you'll never make a full and swift recovery without both ;-)

Hope you feel better soon.
Seeing as we have some unexpected sun and the prospect of a pleasant evening, it’ll be a pub meal up in them Derbyshire hills – Rose & Crown in Allgreave, near Wildboarclough. Been there a few times, exceptional food and a lovely drive to reach it.
Just had it.

Pan fried Lubina with new potatoes and broccoli.

Albarino, a chat, a few laughs

Creme Brulee ......specialty of mrs sqad

A session on AB anfd then she will bring me a glass of milk at about 20.00 hrs local time.
Question Author
Oh heck bednobs, hope you feel better after your dairy lea on toast :(
Oh well, not quite sure what to expect from grand designs then, I like different and interesting art work but minimalist homes leave me completely cold.
Ooh, now, a pub in them Derbyshire hills sounds like heaven, wish I was there too :)
I am having spicy prawn and avocado salad with warm rustic rolls. It is scorching hot here in London and too hot to cook!
This will be followed by glasses of cold white prosecco.
Lamb chops with mint gravy ( basa fillets for me) , Ratatouille. steamed green beans and potatoes from garden .
