Well, something with bourbon would be typically American. It`s not to everyone`s taste though. How about Long Island Iced Tea?
bloody mary, still the best there is.
Large measure of vodka
good tomato juice
celery salt if you can get it
worcester sauce,
tabasco

large glass with lots of ice
pour over vodka, let it soak in
then add tomato juice,
add celery salt, stir, then add decent
amount of worcester
sauce, it makes it slighty peppery
then little tabasco for good measure
serve chilled
Brandy, cointreau and babycham.
Never been beaten.
Margerita if southern states Americans are there.

There's only one American, and she's from the Mid West, I suppose.

Then about thirty of us from the "deep south" of Sussex.
If you don`t need an American theme, Dark and Stormy is nice. Golden rum, ginger beer and a dash of angostura bitters.

I do need an American theme.

We hold Thanksgiving to help stop our American pal from feeling homesick.

Call it "An American in Brighton"
It's got to be some sort of Martini.
How about Plymouth Gin & Tonic, to recognise the Pilgrim Fathers and the Mayflower etc.

These are great ideas, guys.

Great fun but say goodbye to your brain cells...
One of my favourites. Take a highball glass, fill with ice. Add 50ml Bombay
Sapphire Gin, 50ml Cranberry juice, top up with lemonade and stir - a nice refreshing drink and cranberries are for Thanksgiving aren't they?
Question Author
yep
