We enjoy watching the Red Arrows when we occaisonally see then at an air show during the summer. This year they are touring USA and Canada and missing many traditional UK dates.

When they return is it possible to see them in practice or training in any predictable scheduled way during the autumn months? I'm thinking of a couple of days away and might head over to Lincolnshire if its worth it.

Thanks Alba, but the links are for their sheduled displays which are all in USA and Canada now.

I'm wondering if anyone local to their base knows whether its possible to predict their practice or training flights during the autmn once they return home?

Typically, winter training starts in October, with small groups of three or four aircraft formations. Each pilot flies three sorties a day, five days a week, and the formations grow in aircraft number as training progresses. These flights involve a thorough brief, debrief and discussion to ensure safety is paramount and the formations are precise. One complete cycle consisting of these elements lasts about two hours, usually with a 30-minute flight.

From the link, it would appear that their training is 3 planes and then progresses to more planes being added.
So no, there are NO complete red arrows displays in practice. Please read the entire link! x

Thanks again, and yes I had read the link and exhausted various other websites before I posted the question, which is....

Is it possible to see the red arrows in practice or training in any scheduled way? In other words when and where's a good time to go? Days of the week, times of day, good view, places to park, any local knowledge or information that is not necessarily published on the main websites, would be great.
my apologies for being sarky at 22.12
I sounded extremely rude.

I'm wondering if phoning the RAF would they give out some information?
Alternatively, maybe their practices are hush-hush for some strange reason. :-) x
I always was led to believe that in the Winter they flew to RAF Akritari, Cyprus where they practised and trialled new pilot applicants for the team
If you Google the arrows in Akrotiri you will see their training programme during Spring. Sorry can’t C&P on Iphone. :-)
Apparently Akrotiri has been too busy in recent years for the Red Arrows to practise there. ( Proper RAF operations in Syria no doubt)
Their country of choice is a Greek airbase around Easter.

Thanks Alba, apologies accepted, and thanks Retrocop. I know not to bother hanging around in the fields of Lincolnshire during the autumn!
Please don't call the RAF, you may just end up getting a visit from the RAFP
