Wow Bobbi, believe it or not. I once had a lovely black doll for Christmas, with a pink pushchair. An Aunt of mine, who was brilliant at needlework, made me some clothes for her and I called my doll - guess what - Susan !! I agree, happy days.

Haha, what a coincidence , Susie was the best dressed black dolly around for miles as there was a second hand shop locally and I'd spend my pocket money on baby dresses for her , :0)
The charity shops these days are overflowing with dolls, teddies, soft toys etc. It makes you wonder why children don't hang on to them like we used to. My teddy still sits on the window sill, looking through the window.
A doll's house that had working lights. I can still remember how excited I was.

A desk....a proper grown up bureau. My parents said if I had one it would be the only gift that year as it was so expensive. Its only veneered plywood but was the best they could afford and 50+ years later I still have it and use it.

I remember a life-size new born doll that I loved. Also a golly, that I called Peter, and could never understand why my mum was amused by it. I also remember a dolls house she made, which I spent hours with, and many that my sister and I made ourselves from shoe boxes
