as you all know I have been sentenced to 3 weekends imprisonment by my parents for sneaking out to a party, I am only on punishment at weekends because I go to school, this coming weekend I will be locked in my room again, my parents let me keep my pc and tv last time, now they have said I will lose ALL forms of entertainment, I am going to go mad I will be bored out of my head, all I am asking is PLEASE PLEASE can I keep my tv, my parents said no ( SCHOOL BOOKS ONLY )
surly losing my freedom is punishment enough and I should be allowed to keep my tv do you agree ?

What is more important ,for the information of our resident Marjorie Proops, do you think a slap around the lugs would ensure you wouldn't upset your parents again and be a child from hell and gain your much wanted libety?
typo liberty
You do all realise this is a wind up, yes?
Enforced emigration in manacles to Ozzyland and he'll out you to gainful employment in carving trees up in return for a couple of hessian sacks, woollen remnants, a dunny and one round meal a day, starting with roast koala and fermented cabbage.

Of course I do. But surely we are all allowed to join in the game.
you mean Becky isnt being chained to her bed
and made to listen to Radio 1 ?
Still not barred then.
You're lucky that they keep you!

Don't be coy - if you wish to be rude, don't try and tiptoe around it.

I am not being coy or rude. But as a so called professional author I would expect that you would proof read your posts before sending out a copy. You apologised for getting my username wrong but seem incapable of correcting your error once again. You said you had rectified your error. I am beginning to believe it is deliberate rudeness. You would be the first to whinge if I addressed you by your surname wouldn't you?

Why do you think You are the person to whom I refer with regard to Marjorie Proops?

I think you are being coy, but that is your choice.

As to the mis-spelling of your name, I did omit to correct before sending, but as far as proof-reading is concerned, I expect the same freedom as others receive, as do I, that simple typos are not picked up in the interest of flowing exchanges.

I am not a 'so-called professional author' but I am a professional freelance writer, and if I am being paid for writing, I do proof-read very carefully, when it's for free, I tend not to bother.

I confirm that my mis-spelling of your name is a genuine mistake, I am not so oblique, or indeed rude, as to do so on purpose, I am sorry that you perceive that as my intention.

// You would be the first to whinge if I addressed you by your surname wouldn't you? //

I would - because you could only do that deliberately, not in error as I have.

I don't think that - which is why I did not say that I did.

Let's not get into a personal correspondence which is off-topic, it upsets others, and threads get closed or deleted.
Again apologies - it's late and I have had a hard day, so again I missed the correction.

I am placing a query over in Technology to try and sort this out so it ceases to be a problem - please bear with me in the mean time.

Come on Guys, we get a wind-up post from Larger-than -life-Becky and everyone suddenly locks-horns, get over it.
She (?) will be loving every minute of it.

Of course. If you expect me to swallow that. Nothing further to communicate.
Thanks Balders
I forget myself once again.I should know by now who carries the whip hand round here. My apologies M8

You can 'swallow it' or not, as you wish, I really don't care either way.

I have offered you the courtesy of an explanation for what you perceive as rudeness, if you prefer not to believe me that is your choice, but know two things -

One - I don't lie, certainly not to appease the thin skin of a complete stranger, far too much trouble!

Two - If I really wanted to be rude to you, you would know about it - no subtlety involved I can assure now.

Now - can we get back to the thread?
