Iv'e just realised Iv'e been a member for 10 years and 6 days, what first brought you to Answerbank.

For me it was doing the mail on Sunday crossword and whilst trying to find the answer one result led me here.

Then along came chatterbank with some very witty ( if controversial ) contributors and even trolls

I have done 8 years and a few months. It should be longer , but I changed my username after a year.
I came on here after search via google about a motoring law question.
The early days had some good characters who could be entertaining , but too controversial for this site and were banned over the years.

Hope this thread does get removed , like others I had taken the time to contribute to were last week.

I am still a newbie it seems, just two years. I can't remember what question I asked, but I must have an answer. Oh yes, I think it was something to do with my washing machine. Oh God how time flies! We still have the same w/m .

Six and a half years for me. I stumbled on the site by accident and read a question from Mollykins. I was hooked.

I'd never been on any forum before and the first few months I was shocked quite frankly on the amount of aggression and snippy comments flying around. Apparently some people thought I was a troll because there was another weird user who claimed she was a ghost called Prudentia (who remembers her??). I know I was upset at the time.

10 years in two weeks' time. I think I must have started with crossword or quiz questions and since then have asked questions on a wide variety of subjects and always had prompt and helpful answers. I love it, apart from one or two contributors who are too quick to take offence, can't remember any names.

My biggest gripe is the people who ask a question and never thank the person who gives them the answer.
