I am trying to book online flights, I have filled in everything but when I hit 'purchase' it states that I must enter only numbers in the 'switch issue number field'. I havent entered anything as I dont know what they are looking for, is it somewhere on my card?

Thank you muchly

It depends on your issuing bank. Mine is down at the bottom of the card, btw the card number and the expiry date.

It is probably either 0 or 1 but you can check with your bank, I have major problems because mine is 0 and lots of websites do not accept this!

Thanks chazza, the only think I can find is a 4 digit number above my name, everything else relates to bank details etc, I'll try that one and see how it goes. Thank you for the quick reply.

cheers

Some debit cards no longer come with an issue number so in that case type in '0' as the number if it doesnt accept leaving it blank.

Think I have it sorted, I typed in 01 as this is the first card of this type that I have and it has been accepted and confirmed. Never had this problem before, mind you, am booking this with Ryan Air - what a rip off, charging per bag, and if you don't take a bag they still charge you 4, whats that all about?

Anyway, thank you all for your help, much appreciated.

What p****s me off is when you type in a credit card number then it tells you 'no spaces' and you have to do it all over again. Why the hell can't they tell you that in the first place?

Agreed heathfield, not very user friendly, and by the time you have completed the whole thing, even if you wanted to e-mail them to make recommendations you are too stressed out to bother!
