I agree if 'Call me Dave' and 'Boy Blunder' haven't copped onto themselves by now they're never going to.
Nice also to see that some poor lady trying to decant petrol taking the govt's advice about storing it in cans managed to set fire to herself and is in hospital with 40% burns. No fuel anywhere around here at all, so I'm stuck and my business can't deliver things because I refused to make things worse and panic buy.
Just another happy day with a Tory Govt:)

OK.
You need your car for work or you're business.
We have a Coaltion Government in and the Unions have been rubbing their hands and spoiling for a fight.
Now I ask you.........do YOU think that there will be a tanker strike? Too bloody right there will.
So how do you safeguard your petrol supplies?......You stock up...call it panic buying, call it what you will............but I would stock up.

True Sqad, but they have to give 7 days notice of the intention to strike. So we're going to be in the same position next week if they do strike, A few Jerry cans is not going to keep people on the road for long.
People who only have to do the school run are panic buying. Even the ones that live close enough to walk. Even though the kids (most) break up today.

Just been in the local bakery and was asked to sign a petition against the extra vat on hot pasties ??? At first I thought she said FAT on pasties. I dont eat them personally but I signed anyway. Was it just pasties then, that didnt have VAT on, if so why only them? Have theyn got nothing better to do with their time up at westminster ?
There's always been VAT on hot take-away food - so I couldn't understand the sudden fuss about pasties.
I've just had a read of the budget proposals - apparently Greggs & the big supermarkets have been on the fiddle - claiming that their pasties are 'still warm from being baked' rather than 'heated for serving' and so avoiding VAT.
To close this loophole any food sold 'above ambient temperature' is now going to be VATable.
Which gives the ludicrous possibility that a pasty won't be VATable in summer, but will in winter ..... aaaaarrrgh
